UPDATE from Unicorn Riot: 20 Arrested During Lockdown.
According to the radical livestream site Unicorn Riot, their on-site livestream of the #NoDAP protests in North Dakota has been censored by Facebook.
The blocking of all posts of Unicorn Riot’s livestream comes as two water defenders are locked down to Dakota Access machines, halting work.
Despite some opinions, construction has not stopped on the Dakota Access Pipeline. The recent order from the Obama Administration has delayed construction on one small area of the pipe. However, pipeline construction continues elsewhere along the pipeline, and the company remains committed to building the entire line.
Numerous police are currently on site, some pointing assault rifles at water protectors. More than ten arrestees have been taken from the site, according to Unicorn Riot, but the lock-downs remain in tact.
Solidarity demonstrations are continuing throughout the country in support of Standing Rock. This morning, 11 people with Rising Tide Vermont were arrested blocking construction on a pipeline run by Michaels Construction, which is linked to the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Facebook ? Lock you down ? Power has gone to Zuckerbergs head & clearly greed has taken his heart as it has the heart of North Dakota. First, he deletes a picture, a pivotal picture that help us protesting Vietnam, open others eyes to the Watson inhumane travesties….and NOW THIS ?
I plead with all..BOYCOTT FACEBOOK. Find ALTERNATIVE SOURCES.
YOU. WE. ALL. WHO STAND TOGETHER IN THIS FIGHT MUST PROVE NO AMOUNT OF DUCT TAPE CAN STOP…
FREEDOM OF SPEECH !!!! TRUTH & JUSTICE!!!!!
Some years back my friend Chuck Munson (founder of Infoshop.org) emailed me to say that Facebook was turning over the contents of folders to the FBI. Chucko provided me with the private telephone number of the senior administration office at the Facebook headquarters, which he acquired from hackers. So I stunned the Facebook executives with a direct telephone call, and thereupon they admitted their compliance with the FBI. We agreed that they would completely empty my folders, which would take them two weeks, in exchange for my guarantee that I would never come back, including using an assumed name. My former Facebook account is traceless, and I kept my part of the agreement.
