A sales administrator works to provide a connection between a sales team and executives as well as ensuring that customers are pleased with their service and products.
They must fill leadership positions as they guide sales representatives on the floor and manage the entire sales team's schedules. In order to effectively do their jobs they must be well-versed in data entry and have effective communication skills.
In addition to working on the floor, the sales administrator must be able to solve problem with customers through several mediums; face-to-face, over the phone and through computers.
Behind the scenes, a sales administrator must be able to submit and manage proposals and complete revenue reports based on consumer data.
They are responsible for their respective sales teams and the customer's satisfaction. Much of their work is done with the consumer and keeping a good rapport between corporate and the sales team.
Sales administrators work under strict time constraints so effective time management and organisation is a must if one is to work as a sales administrator.
- Data entry and use of Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication skill, both verbal and written.
- Ability to generate proposals and reports.
