Meng Wanzhou, Huawei’s chief financial officer, was greeted by a hero’s welcome as she landed in the Chinese city of Shenzhen on September 25, 2021. The previous day her legal team had struck a deal with US prosecutors to end a high-profile fraud case that saw her detained in Canada for nearly three years. Her husband was among about 100 people gathered on the airport tarmac, and their reunion prompted thousands of heartfelt reactions on Chinese social media. Meanwhile, Canadians Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig returned to Canada after being released from detention in China soon after Washington dropped its extradition request for Meng, in what some political analysts described as Beijing’s use of “hostage diplomacy”.

CGTN host Tian Wei interviewed the author of The American Trap, Frederic Pierucci, a former senior manager for Alstom accused of corruption by the U.S. and pleaded guilty in 2014. Meng Wanzhou, Huawei Chief Financial Officer who has been detained in Canada for nearly three years, returned to Shenzhen City in south China's Guangdong Province on Saturday night on a charter flight organized by the Chinese government.
After a flight of more than 10 hours, the charter plane came to a smooth stop on the tarmac, with the five-star red flag on the fuselage standing out and eye-catching.
Meng walked down the gangway amid loud cheers of "welcome home" and applause.
After nearly three years of separation, Meng walked towards the crowd with tears in her eyes as she set foot on the land of her motherland. She made a deep bow, and all her homesickness and gratitude overflowed at that moment.
"President Xi [Jinping] cares about the safety of each and every Chinese citizen, including me, and had kept my plight on his mind. I am deeply moved by this. We have the motherland's strongest backing. Only when the motherland prospers can enterprises develop steadily, and people can live happily and healthily. I want to say that wherever the five-star red flag is, there is a beacon of faith. If faith has color, it must be Chinese red!" said Meng.
The Chinese ambassador to Canada accompanied Meng on her arrival in Shenzhen. Meng's family and colleagues, officials of Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City and officials of China's Foreign Ministry welcomed her at the airport.
On Dec 1, 2018, Canadian authorities detained Meng for no reason while she was in transit at Vancouver International Airport. It is a downright political frame-up, a political persecution against Chinese citizens masterminded by the United States and carried out by Canada as an accomplice.
Thanks to the unremitting efforts and resolute struggle of the Chinese government, the U.S. Department of Justice and Meng recently signed a stay of prosecution agreement, and the United States has withdrawn its extradition application to Canada.
On Sept 24, 2021 local time, Meng left Canada and returned to her homeland without pleading guilty or paying a fine.

Tonga Fifita
Tonga 'Uli'uli Fifita (born 3 February 1959) is a semi-retired Tongan professional wrestler, known for his appearances in both World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). In WCW, he wrestled under the name Meng; in the WWF, he wrestled under the names King Tonga, King Haku, and Haku.
Career
Early career
Growing up on the main island of the South Pacific island-kingdom of Tonga, Fifita attended Tonga College where he played rugby union. At the age of 10, he was part of a group of teenagers sent by the King of Tonga to Japan to study Sumo. Sione Vailahi, who would later become better known as pro-wrestler "The Barbarian", was also a part of this group. After moving to Japan in 1974, he competed under the shikona (sumo name) of Fukunoshima (福ノ島). He made his debut in November 1974 and reached the rank of Makushita 27. However, in 1975 the stablemaster who recruited him died, and he and five other Tongan wrestlers got entangled in a dispute with his successor, which led to him being forced to retire by the Japan Sumo Association in 1976.

Hooper's Store
Mr. Hooper's Store is a fictional business and meeting-place on the television show Sesame Street. Its owners have been Mr. Hooper, David, Mr. Handford, and Alan; these managers have been assisted by Tom, Cookie Monster, Bert, Linda, Petey, Gina, Carlo, Natalie, Gabi, and Chris at times.
Overview
The fictional store was said to be founded by Mr. Harold Hooper in 1951 as a general store. The food menu was extensive and suited to the different characters that lived on Sesame Street, a fictional Manhattan street. Along with traditional American diner-type food, the store sold a wide range of goods from dry goods to soap dishes and stranger goods such as empty cigar boxes (in Christmas Eve on Sesame Street) and birdseed milkshakes for Big Bird.

During the initial seasons, until Will Lee's death, the store was run by Mr. Hooper.
During Season 3 (1971), Larry Block played Tom, a man who worked at Hooper's. Cookie Monster worked at the store in a few episodes (though his large appetite tended to cause problems in a store that sells food).

Nadia Yassir
Nadia Yassir (Urdu: نادیہ ياسر) is a fictional character from the TV series 24 played by Marisol Nichols. Introduced in Season 6, she works for the Counter Terrorist Unit at Los Angeles, a fictional domestic branch of the Central Intelligence Agency. Early history
The origins of the Yao can be traced back 2,000 years ago, starting in Hunan Province. The Yao and Miao people were among the rebels during the Miao Rebellions against the Ming dynasty. As the Han Chinese expanded in southern China, the Yao retreated into the highlands between Hunan and Guizhou to the north and Guangdong and Guangxi to the south, and stretching into eastern Yunnan. Around 1890 the Guangdong government started taking action against Yao in northwestern Guangdong.

The previous day her legal team had struck a deal with US prosecutors to end a high-profile fraud case that saw her detained in Canada for nearly three years. Her husband was among about 100 people gathered on the airport tarmac, and their reunion prompted thousands of heartfelt reactions on Chinese social media. Meng Wanzhou, the eldest daughter of Ren Zhengfei and CFO of Huawei, flew back to China last Saturday after the extradition case against her was dropped. CGTN host Tian Wei interviewed the author of The American Trap, Frederic Pierucci, a former senior manager for Alstom accused of corruption by the U.S. and pleaded guilty in 2014. He sees Meng's return as a very huge win for China since it's the first time that the country stood up to the U.S.' long-arm jurisdiction in such a way.

Meng Wanzhou, Huawei Chief Financial Officer who has been detained in Canada for nearly three years, returned to Shenzhen City in south China's Guangdong Province on Saturday night on a charter flight organized by the Chinese government.
After a flight of more than 10 hours, the charter plane came to a smooth stop on the tarmac, with the five-star red flag on the fuselage standing out and eye-catching.
Meng walked down the gangway amid loud cheers of "welcome home" and applause.
After nearly three years of separation, Meng walked towards the crowd with tears in her eyes as she set foot on the land of her motherland. She made a deep bow, and all her homesickness and gratitude overflowed at that moment.
"President Xi [Jinping] cares about the safety of each and every Chinese citizen, including me, and had kept my plight on his mind. I am deeply moved by this. We have the motherland's strongest backing. Only when the motherland prospers can enterprises develop steadily, and people can live happily and healthily. I want to say that wherever the five-star red flag is, there is a beacon of faith. If faith has color, it must be Chinese red!" said Meng.
The Chinese ambassador to Canada accompanied Meng on her arrival in Shenzhen. Meng's family and colleagues, officials of Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City and officials of China's Foreign Ministry welcomed her at the airport.
On Dec 1, 2018, Canadian authorities detained Meng for no reason while she was in transit at Vancouver International Airport. It is a downright political frame-up, a political persecution against Chinese citizens masterminded by the United States and carried out by Canada as an accomplice.
Thanks to the unremitting efforts and resolute struggle of the Chinese government, the U.S. Department of Justice and Meng recently signed a stay of prosecution agreement, and the United States has withdrawn its extradition application to Canada.
On Sept 24, 2021 local time, Meng left Canada and returned to her homeland without pleading guilty or paying a fine.

Meng Wanzhou, Huawei’s chief financial officer, was greeted by a hero’s welcome as she landed in the Chinese city of Shenzhen on September 25, 2021. The previous day her legal team had struck a deal with US prosecutors to end a high-profile fraud case that saw her detained in Canada for nearly three years. Her husband was among about 100 people gathered on the airport tarmac, and their reunion prompted thousands of heartfelt reactions on Chinese social media. Meanwhile, Canadians Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig returned to Canada after being released from detention in China soon after Washington dropped its extradition request for Meng, in what some political analysts described as Beijing’s use of “hostage diplomacy”.

Meng Wanzhou, the eldest daughter of Ren Zhengfei and CFO of Huawei, flew back to China last Saturday after the extradition case against her was dropped. CGTN host Tian Wei interviewed the author of The American Trap, Frederic Pierucci, a former senior manager for Alstom accused of corruption by the U.S. and pleaded guilty in 2014. He sees Meng's return as a very huge win for China since it's the first time that the country stood up to the U.S.' long-arm jurisdiction in such a way.

Meng Wanzhou, Huawei Chief Financial Officer who has been detained in Canada for nearly three years, returned to Shenzhen City in south China's Guangdong Province on Saturday night on a charter flight organized by the Chinese government.
After a flight of more than 10 hours, the charter plane came to a smooth stop on the tarmac, with the five-star red flag on the fuselage standing out and eye-catching.
Meng walked down the gangway amid loud cheers of "welcome home" and applause.
After nearly three years of separation, Meng walked towards the crowd with tears in her eyes as she set foot on the land of her motherland. She made a deep bow, and all her homesickness and gratitude overflowed at that moment.
"President Xi [Jinping] cares about the safety of each and every Chinese citizen, including me, and had kept my plight on his mind. I am deeply moved by this. We have the motherland's strongest backing. Only when the motherland prospers can enterprises develop steadily, and people can live happily and healthily. I want to say that wherever the five-star red flag is, there is a beacon of faith. If faith has color, it must be Chinese red!" said Meng.
The Chinese ambassador to Canada accompanied Meng on her arrival in Shenzhen. Meng's family and colleagues, officials of Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City and officials of China's Foreign Ministry welcomed her at the airport.
On Dec 1, 2018, Canadian authorities detained Meng for no reason while she was in transit at Vancouver International Airport. It is a downright political frame-up, a political persecution against Chinese citizens masterminded by the United States and carried out by Canada as an accomplice.
Thanks to the unremitting efforts and resolute struggle of the Chinese government, the U.S. Department of Justice and Meng recently signed a stay of prosecution agreement, and the United States has withdrawn its extradition application to Canada.
On Sept 24, 2021 local time, Meng left Canada and returned to her homeland without pleading guilty or paying a fine.

中国驻加拿大大使陪同孟晚舟抵达深圳。孟晚舟的家人和同事、广东省和深圳市官员以及中国外交部官员到机场迎接。
2018 年 12 月 1 日，加拿大当局无故拘留了在温哥华国际机场转机的孟晚舟。这是彻头彻尾的政治陷害，是美国策划、加拿大为帮凶实施的对中国公民的政治迫害。
得益于中国政府的不懈努力和坚决斗争，美国司法部近日与孟签署了暂缓起诉协议，美国撤回了对加拿大的引渡申请。
当地时间2021年9月24日，孟离开加拿大回到家乡，没有认罪，也没有缴纳罚款。
