Basti (U.P.), July 31 (ANI): A group of agitated Kanwariyas created havoc in Uttar Pradesh's Basti District after they vandalised several vehicles and attacked the District judge's convoy. The Gorakhpur District judge was injured during the attack that followed the Kanwariyas ' argument with a tea vendor. A probe is on with regard to the inciden that happened in Kaptanganj area of the District.

Hi I'm Tim Collins and this is take 25
of trying to do this video to share my ideas
and thinking about how you can become
Deputy District Judge. I guess this is as
hard for me to do as it is for you to apply
for this competition. So what I want to do straight
off, is jsut say, I think it's going to be
one of the toughest and most competitive
competitions the JAC Has ever run. But
also, as in other very competitive
competitions, there will be successful
candidates. So what I want to do is just
talk through what it is you need to do
to give yourself that edge and give yourself that
chance to be appointed.
OK first off,there will be qualifying test. And as with all the recent qualifying tests I expect this to have extreme time pressure. And again I know that successful candidates, guess what? They answer all the questions. So make sure you time yourself brutally when you are doing the qualifying test.
Secondly, prepare, there are many great resources out there and I think CrimeLine can be incredibly helpful. So do
look at those resources and prepare - think through what they may be looking for.
One of the key elements in this process is your application form. And that really is about how you can address and demonstrate the competencies, What I suggest candidates do is print off a copy of the competencies, turn them into questions and
think of evidence, examples, really stories about how you demonstrated those
competencies. And also how they could differentiate you from your competition. However, filling out an application form takes a considerable amount of time, I think about 16 hours worth of your time. So make sure you allow that time and plan that time in.
But also do work in bite sized chunks.
What you'll also need to do is select a couple of referees.It's really
important those referees are in a position and able and also willing to comment on how they know that you've demonstrated those competencies. It's not rocket science but again think about who else may be approaching those referees and make sure that you're
their preferred candidate. And that you help them to demonstrate their evidence for you.
If you make it through to the selection day what you will find is that it will fall into two elements: a role play with actors and then an interview with a panel. It's really important that you're honest and that you're yourself throughout this selection day, but also that you engage with the panel. At the end of the day the JAC will make their recommendations based on whether they've gathered evidence that you've demonstrated the competencies from: your application form; your referees; the role plays and the
interview.

The judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, who has been accused of sexual harassment by a woman district judge in Gwalior has written a letter to the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court today describing the allegations as "totally false" and expressing his willingness to face probe by the CBI or any other agency. He said he is even ready to face the death penalty even though he added that he did not want to face any trial. The letter has been forwarded to the CJI by the Chief Justice of the MP High Court. Meanwhile the CJI has assured the aggrieved judge of appropriate action.

A Jefferson District Court judge blasted a correction services director over the phone after an inmate revealed she was denied pants and feminine hygiene products, on July 29.
Judge Amber Wolf was in disbelief and anger after she was told a female inmate from Metro Corrections spent several days in jail without a change of clothes. She rang the jail during the proceedings, demanding an explanation and for “something to cover up” the woman to be brought to court.
“Excuse me? This is outrageous. Is this for real?” The Louisville judge said.
She also lambasted the county for giving the woman 75-day sentence for a first-time shoplifting offence, and apologised to her for the way she was treated. The woman was detained for not completing a diversion program on a 2014 shoplifting charge and was released with time served and $100 fine.
It is not visible if she is wearing pants. However, the inmate leaves the court room and returns in a jail jumpsuit towards the end of the sentencing.

Plot: 1953. Desmond Doyle is devastated when his wife abandons their family on the day after Christmas. His unemployment and the fact that there is no woman in the house to care for the children, Evelyn, Dermot and Maurice, make it clear to the authorities that his is an untenable situation. The Irish courts put the Doyle children into Church-run orphanages. Although a sympathetic judge assures Desmond that he'll get his children back after he gets a job, he learns there's another barrier. During that time, Evelyn suffers abuse while Desmond goes to court to get his children back. A barmaid, her brother, her suitor, and a tippling footballer become Desmond's team.

Plot: Christian Kempenich is the Chief Clerk in the Town Council in a small town on the river Mosel in Germany. Woman District Judge accuses MP HC judge of sexual harassment
The judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, who has been accused of sexual harassment by a woman district judge in Gwalior has written a letter to the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court today describing the allegations as "totally false" and expressing his willingness to face probe by the CBI or any other agency. He said he is even ready to face the death penalty even though he added that he did not want to face any trial. The letter has been forwarded to the CJI by the Chief Justice of the MP High Court. Meanwhile the CJI has assured the aggrieved judge of appropriate action.

candidates. So what I want to do is just
talk through what it is you need to do
to give yourself that edge and give yourself that
chance to be appointed.
OK first off,there will be qualifying test. And as with all the recent qualifying tests I expect this to have extreme time pressure. And again I know that successful candidates, guess what? They answer all the questions. So make sure you time yourself brutally when you are doing the qualifying test.
Secondly, prepare, there are many great resources out there and I think CrimeLine can be incredibly helpful. So do
look at those resources and prepare - think through what they may be looking for.
One of the key elements in this process is your application form. And that really is about how you can address and demonstrate the competencies, What I suggest candidates do is print off a copy of the competencies, turn them into questions and
think of evidence, examples, really stories about how you demonstrated those
competencies. And also how they could differentiate you from your competition. However, filling out an application form takes a considerable amount of time, I think about 16 hours worth of your time. So make sure you allow that time and plan that time in.
But also do work in bite sized chunks.
What you'll also need to do is select a couple of referees.It's really

and thinking about how you can become
Deputy District Judge. I guess this is as
hard for me to do as it is for you to apply
for this competition. So what I want to do straight
off, is jsut say, I think it's going to be
one of the toughest and most competitive
competitions the JAC Has ever run. But
also, as in other very competitive
competitions, there will be successful
candidates. So what I want to do is just
talk through what it is you need to do
to give yourself that edge and give yourself that
chance to be appointed.
OK first off,there will be qualifying test. And as with all the recent qualifying tests I expect this to have extreme time pressure. And again I know that successful candidates, guess what? They answer all the questions. So make sure you time yourself brutally when you are doing the qualifying test.
Secondly, prepare, there are many great resources out there and I think CrimeLine can be incredibly helpful. So do
look at those resources and prepare - think through what they may be looking for.
One of the key elements in this process is your application form. And that really is about how you can address and demonstrate the competencies, What I suggest candidates do is print off a copy of the competencies, turn them into questions and
think of evidence, examples, really stories about how you demonstrated those
competencies. And also how they could differentiate you from your competition. However, filling out an application form takes a considerable amount of time, I think about 16 hours worth of your time. So make sure you allow that time and plan that time in.
But also do work in bite sized chunks.
What you'll also need to do is select a couple of referees.It's really

A Jefferson District Court judge blasted a correction services director over the phone after an inmate revealed she was denied pants and feminine hygiene products, on July 29.
Judge Amber Wolf was in disbelief and anger after she was told a female inmate from Metro Corrections spent several days in jail without a change of clothes. She rang the jail during the proceedings, demanding an explanation and for “something to cover up” the woman to be brought to court.
“Excuse me? This is outrageous. Is this for real?” The Louisville judge said.
She also lambasted the county for giving the woman 75-day sentence for a first-time shoplifting offence, and apologised to her for the way she was treated. The woman was detained for not completing a diversion program on a 2014 shoplifting charge and was released with time served and $100 fine.
It is not visible if she is wearing pants. However, the inmate leaves the court room and returns in a jail jumpsuit towards the end of the sentencing.

Judge Blocks Bathroom Bill in North Carolina
A federal judge has temporarily blocked the University of North Carolina from executing a recent law related to gender identity and the bathroom. But House Bill 2, better known to the nation as the Bathroom bill, violates a section of federal law. According to U.S. District Judge Thomas Schroeder, Title Nine effectively bars public institutions from committing sexual discrimination against students. The case came before the federal court after two transgender students and an employee filled suit against the university. Such a situation could arise if the south Des Moines church were to serve as an election polling place or if it were to rent out its facilities for some non-religious use, Weber said. But a lawyer representing the church said that answer offered little comfort to its pastor, who worries that posting the church's new conservative bathroom policy online or speaking out about human sexuality issues could trigger an investigation by the Iowa Civil Rights Commission. As it stands, the religious exemption in Iowa's public accommodations law gives the commission's investigators too much leeway to decide what exactly qualifies as a "religious activity," said Steve O'Ban, a senior attorney with the Alliance Defending Freedom. "You don't sift through the activities and weigh whether one is religious and one is not," he said to U.S. District Judge Stephanie Rose. "Are they going to sit there with a checklist?" Rose heard the arguments at a key hearing Wednesday morning in a lawsuit the Fort Des Moines Church of Christ filed in July hoping for an injunction against the state and city. But House Bill 2, better known to the nation as the Bathroom bill, violates a section of federal law.
According to U.S. District Judge Thomas Schroeder, Title Nine effectively bars public institutions from committing sexual discrimination against students.
The case came before the federal court after two transgender students and an employee filled suit against the university.
The judge also granted a preliminary injunction to the three plaintiffs.
