Liverpool Football Club (/ˈlɪvərpuːl/) is a Premier League football club based in Liverpool, England. The club has won more European and domestic trophies than any other English team with five European Cups, three UEFA Cups, three UEFA Super Cups, 18 League titles, seven FA Cups, a record eight League Cups, and 15 FA Community Shields.
The club was founded in 1892 and joined the Football League the following year. The club has played at Anfield since its formation. Liverpool established itself as a major force in both English and European football during the 1970s and '80s when Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley led the club to 11 League titles and seven European trophies. Under the management of Rafa Benítez and captained by Steven Gerrard Liverpool re-emerged as European champions once again, winning the 2005 UEFA Champions League Final against Milan in spite of being 3–0 down at half time.
Liverpool was the ninth highest-earning football club in the world for 2013–14, with an annual revenue of €306 million, and the world's eighth most valuable football club in 2015, valued at $982 million. The club holds many long-standing rivalries, most notably with Manchester United and the Merseyside derby with Everton.

Mario Balotelli has left Liverpool FC and this is what the fans make of it
As the transfer window slammed shut, controversial striker Mario Balotelli officially left Liverpool. The Italian international signed for a fee of £16m in August 2014 but failed to live up to his potential at Anfield. After scoring just four goals in 28 games in 2014/15, he was loaned out to AC Milan last season and has now joined French outfit Nice on a free transfer, the Liverpool Echo reported .
Daniel Sturridge was reportedly keen on a late loan move to Arsenal on deadline day - but Liverpool were unwilling to let him go. That's according to Goal.com, who claim Sturridge's representatives approached the Gunners about the possibility of a temporary move to the Emirates. The 26-year-old is said to be frustrated at a lack of game time at Anfield but Jurgen Klopp refused to entertain the prospect of allowing him to leave. Sturridge was an Arsenal supporter as a boy and would have welcomed a move to north London.

BBC video from 1987. I have had to edit out some footage due to copyright claims. The missing parts are some action from the 1930s, plus the 1965 FA Cup final and 1981 European Cup final.
Inspired by the events surrounding Liverpool Football Club's Champions League Final success of 2005; this hilarious scouse mocumentary may be short, but guarantee's. Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Dietmar Hamann are appearing in this film as themselves. If you're a fan of Liverpool, you must watch this film. :) You'll Never Walk Alone! :) Enjoy. :)

It's rated by many Reds as the best ever season for sheer quality of football. In 1987-88, Kenny Dalglish’s side won the First Division title with a string of breathtaking performances, led by the brilliance of John Barnes and Peter Beardsley. The Reds amassed 90 points, scored 87 goals and lifted the championship trophy with four games to spare. In nine league matches they scored four times, twice they hit five and the Reds only failed to score in four First Division games that season. Here, in a series of clips from videos and news bulletins from that season, are some of the highlights. And if you enjoy this, check out our series of What We Call History podcasts discussing the season game by game with Reds who went home and away.
