The world has been infected by an unknown virus that quickly spread everywhere. Those in contact with the virus didn't show any symptoms until it was too late. As a result, these people developed an unstoppable frenzy for human flesh, killing and or infecting othes in the process. To make things worse, in some places the virus mutated into a faster kind, reducing its incubation time... Armies were useless as their members were also infected. Health organisations were not ready for this. No one saw this coming. Deaths were counted by the millions before modern society collapsed. Now nothing is the way it was, worldwide communications are a thing of the past, public means of transport no longer exist... those who managed to survive often think those who died were the lucky ones. By themselves or in small groups, they try to live a life that should have never been, but is.
