A man armed with "a minimum" of two knives is on the run in Kelvin Grove after threatening staff at the local Miss India restaurant on Sunday afternoon.
Police said about 12.10pm, a man armed with several knives entered the business on Kelvin Grove Road and threatened two staff members.
The man made demands for money and the staff members complied before the armed robber fled on foot and was last seen heading towards the Queensland University of Technology campus.
No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30s with a solid build and was wearing black clothing, including a black baseball cap and sunglasses.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has seen a man fitting the above description in the area to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
