Bryan and I recently had the chance to visit the great city of Chicago, Illinois! While there, we bought the City Pass and visited some of Chicago's best attractions. On this excursion, we visited Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower), which used to be the tallest building in the world! Watch as we stand 103 feet above the city on the Skydeck!!! (No, we weren't the ones that cracked it, as recently shown in the news)

October 5th, 2012 - These are some extraordinary video clips of the recent installation of the new ABC 7 antenna atop Willis Tower.
The amazing shots were taken by tiny cameras on the ironworker's helmets, the antenna sections themselves, and another helicopter. The video features Local 1 ironworkers John Rukavina and his nephew Bob East.
Director Stephen Brown and Zoo City Productions were filming the entire event for a documentary entitled "Cowboys of the Sky", which chronicles the journey of 74-year-old Local 1 ironworker John Rukavina.
Doing an installation in that environment is tough enough for an ironworker. Doing it with a helicopter makes it even more difficult. The stunning video leaves no question of John's skill, experience and fortitude.

Willis Tower
The Willis Tower, built and still commonly referred to as Sears Tower, is a 108-story, 1,451-foot (442 m) skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois, United States. At completion in 1973, it surpassed the World Trade Center towers in New York to become the tallest building in the world, a title it held for nearly 25 years. The Willis Tower is the second-tallest building in the United States and the 14th-tallest in the world. More than one million people visit its observation deck each year, making it one of Chicago's most popular tourist destinations. The structure was renamed in 2009 by the Willis Group as part of its lease on a portion of the tower's space.
As of December 2013, the building's largest tenant is United Airlines, which moved its corporate headquarters from the United Building at 77 West Wacker Drive in 2012 and today occupies around 20 floors with its headquarters and operations center.
The building's official address is 233 South Wacker Drive, Chicago, Illinois 60606.

RCom to sell 51% in tower co for $1.7bn

Canadian private equity giant Brookfield has agreed to buy a majority stake of 51% in Anil Ambani-controlled Reliance Communications' (RCom) mobile phone tower unit for Rs 11,000 crore ($1.7 billion). This will be the largest acquisition in the country's mobile phone tower segment. Last year, American Tower had bought a 51% stake in Viom Networks for Rs 7,635 crore....

Reliance Communications has signed a "non-binding term sheet" with Brookfield Infrastructure Group, to acquire all the tower assets of RCOM for Rs 11,000 crore ... Reliance Communications will then become a tenant for the purpose of using the towers for its integrated telecom business ... ”RCOM will also enjoy 49 percent future economic upside from the towers business, based on certain conditions,” it added....

Mumbai, Oct 14 (IANS) Industrialist Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications has signed a "non-binding term sheet" with Brookfield Infrastructure Group, through which the latter would acquire all the tower assets of RCOM for an upfront cash payment of Rs 11,000 crore, a company statement said here on Friday. Reliance Communication will then become a tenant for the purpose of using the towers for its integrated telecom business....
