Burke NBCUniversal, CEO Mr. Burke, We the undersigned are Christians, and since many people identify themselves as "Christian" despite holding beliefs in contradiction to Biblical teachings, we are specifically "born-again followers of Jesus Christ who believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, that it and it alone, no other writings, represents Absolute Truth and is our final authority in all matters." It is necessary to make this distinct clarification in light of the fact that NBCUniversal employs Al Sharpton, a man who identifies himself as a Christian "Reverend" despite having a long history of dividing people by race, engaging in race-based extortion, and professionally and publicly supporting and promoting the Biblical sins of homosexuality, perverting God's Holy Institution of Marriage and Family, and the killing of innocent babies. Sharpton's history includes but is not limited to, the false rape allegations in 1987 of Tawana Brawley, the inciting of the firebombing in 1995 of Freddie's Fashion Mart that killed 7 innocent people, more false rape allegations in 2006 against members of the Duke lacrosse team, using his position at NBCUniversal in 2013 to push for the failed racially motivated prosecution of George Zimmerman, and in 2014 broadcasting nightly up to this present day the false narrative of "hands up don't shoot" in Ferguson, Missouri which incited weeks of racial violence in that community despite being proven false by the United States Department of Justice. In your recent official statement of separation from all business arrangements with Donald Trump, you stated, "At NBC, respect and dignity for ALL people are cornerstones of our values." NBCUniversal and its affiliated broadcast properties such as MSNBC, through its programming each day not only shows a total absence of respect or dignity for Bible-believing born-again Christians, but we are consistently mocked and our faith demeaned by on-air hosts and guests and referred to as intolerant, bigots, hate-mongers, and fools for believing the indisputable teachings of the Bible in such matters as the sin homosexuality, God's Holy Institution of Marriage being one man and one woman, and the sanctity of life in the womb. NBCUniversal uses its affiliated broadcast properties to promote and glorify the choice that less than 2% of the population in the United States are in bondage to, engaging in unnatural and perverted sexual relations with people of the same sex that God calls in the Bible through several dozen passages from Genesis to Revelation a sin and abomination. This is a much smaller percentage of the population than other self-destructive bondages such as alcoholism, drugs, and gambling. Likewise, is the promotion and glorification of marriage between people of the same-sex and the adoption of children by same-sex couples. This is a gross perversion of God's Holy Institutions of Marriage and the Family which the Bible defines as one man and one woman with the children born out of that holy union being the foundation of our culture. Lastly, is promoting and glorifying infanticide, as apx 4,000 innocent babies are murdered each day in the United States. The Bible teaches that all life is from God, and it is undisputed scientific evidence that "the life cycle of mammals begins when a sperm enters an egg." To consciously and purposely end that life in ALL circumstances is not a "choice" but murder. The exception referred to as "the life of the mother" is not a purposeful ending of the life in the womb, but a medical decision made by doctors in the very rarest of circumstances. Subsequently, we the undersigned DEMAND that NBCUniversal issues an immediate formal apology across all of its media platforms to Bible-believing born-again Christians for the mocking, demeaning, and marginalizing of our faith beliefs. We also DEMAND that in all future NBCUniversal programs where the sin of homosexuality, the perversion of God's Holy Institutions of Marriage and the Family, or the conscious and purposeful slaughter of innocent babies is presented, equal time is given to a "Bible-believing born-again Christian" to articulate our firmly held faith beliefs in these serious matters. Finally, we DEMAND that all NBCUniversal on-air talent and guests refrain from mocking and demeaning the beliefs held by "Bible-believing born-again Christians," and we are afforded the "respect and dignity for all people" you claim "are cornerstones of our values."
