A technology center or technology centre is a research center used for technology research.
Technology Center may also refer to:
Comcast Innovation and Technology Center is a skyscraper under construction in Philadelphia. The 59-floor building, with a height of 1,121 feet (342 m), will be the eighth-tallest building in the Western Hemisphere (all eight are in the United States), and the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere outside of Manhattan and Chicago (and therefore the tallest building in Pennsylvania). It is adjacent to the Comcast Center, the headquarters of Comcast.
The architect is Lord Norman Foster, with interior design by Gensler.
On a clear day from the top roof an individual will be able to see 80 miles. It will consist primarily of office space and the new Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia that was previously located elsewhere in the city, but will also include at least three TV studios, a retail mall, a parking garage on the lower levels, and a top-floor restaurant. The entire project consists of over 1,500,000 square feet (140,000 m2). The property will be co-owned by Comcast and Liberty Property Trust, and has an estimated cost of $1.2 billion.
Comcast Corporation, formerly registered as Comcast Holdings, is an American multinational mass media company and is the largest broadcasting and largest cable company in the world by revenue. It is the second largest pay-TV company after the AT&T-DirecTV acquisition, largest cable TV company and largest home Internet service provider in the United States, and the nation's third largest home telephone service provider. Comcast services U.S. residential and commercial customers in 40 states and the District of Columbia. The company's headquarters are located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
As the owner of the international media company NBCUniversal since 2011, Comcast is a producer of feature films and television programs intended for theatrical exhibition and over-the-air and cable television broadcast.
Comcast operates multiple cable-only channels (including E! Entertainment Television, the Golf Channel, and NBCSN), over-the-air national broadcast network channels (NBC and Telemundo), the film production studio Universal Pictures, and Universal Parks & Resorts, with a global total of nearly 200 family entertainment locations and attractions in the U.S. and several other countries including U.A.E., South Korea, Russia and China, with several new locations reportedly planned and being developed for future operation. Comcast also has significant holding in digital distribution (thePlatform). In February 2014 the company agreed to merge with Time Warner Cable in an equity swap deal worth $45.2 billion. Under the terms of the agreement Comcast was to acquire 100% of Time Warner Cable. However, on April 24, 2015, Comcast terminated the agreement.
Innovation is a new idea, or more-effective device or process. Innovation can be viewed as the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing market needs. This is accomplished through more-effective products, processes, services, technologies, or business models that are readily available to markets, governments and society. The term "innovation" can be defined as something original and more effective and, as a consequence, new, that "breaks into" the market or society.
While a novel device is often described as an innovation, in economics, management science, and other fields of practice and analysis, innovation is generally considered to be the result of a process that brings together various novel ideas in a way that they have an impact on society.
In business and economics, innovation can be a catalyst to growth. With rapid advancements in transportation and communications over the past few decades, the old world concepts of factor endowments and comparative advantage which focused on an area’s unique inputs are outmoded for today’s global economy. Economist Joseph Schumpeter, who contributed greatly to the study of innovation economics, argued that industries must incessantly revolutionize the economic structure from within, that is innovate with better or more effective processes and products, as well as market distribution, such as the connection from the craft shop to factory. He famously asserted that “creative destruction is the essential fact about capitalism”. In addition, entrepreneurs continuously look for better ways to satisfy their consumer base with improved quality, durability, service, and price which come to fruition in innovation with advanced technologies and organizational strategies.
Technology ("science of craft", from Greek τέχνη, techne, "art, skill, cunning of hand"; and -λογία, -logia) is the collection of techniques, skills, methods and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of objectives, such as scientific investigation. Technology can be the knowledge of techniques, processes, etc. or it can be embedded in machines, computers, devices and factories, which can be operated by individuals without detailed knowledge of the workings of such things.
The human species' use of technology began with the conversion of natural resources into simple tools. The prehistoric discovery of how to control fire and the later Neolithic Revolution increased the available sources of food and the invention of the wheel helped humans to travel in and control their environment. Developments in historic times, including the printing press, the telephone, and the Internet, have lessened physical barriers to communication and allowed humans to interact freely on a global scale. The steady progress of military technology has brought weapons of ever-increasing destructive power, from clubs to nuclear weapons.

Just a quick video on the Comcast Innovation and Technology Center's progress. As of right now, the core sticks out up to 850 feet, and below the steel rising to 500 feet. Cladding has been going on, as of now, it's going on the fourth "blocks". The core will top out in early July, only 6 more floors left, and yes, it's on the 54th floor. The crane attached in collars on the core is for now the tallest structure in Philadelphia, rising above the Comcast Center to nearly 1,100 feet. Progress should wrap up by the first quarter of 2018.

In this video, I'm panning along the Schuylkill Expressway in Philadelphia, Circling around a skyscraper under construction, and then I lose signal... When my Phantom 3 returns to home, it flies directly into the construction zone at the top of the skyscraper. I didn't see the footage until I got home, at which time, I shit my pants and thanked Jah that I didn't hit anything. The fines and lawsuits would have killed me. Music by: bensound
