Unforgettable Favorites

Unforgettable Favorites (also known as Memories) was a satellite driven format distributed by ABC Radio Networks (through The Walt Disney Company). Unforgettable Favorites was a middle-of-the-road station and featured music from The Carpenters, Neil Diamond, Carly Simon, James Taylor, The Bee Gees, The Beatles, Linda Ronstadt, The Beach Boys and many others.

History

ABC Radio launched this format in late 1998 known as "Memories"; its slogan and second branding was "Unforgettable Favorites". Many American radio stations began using this feed, including ABC owned & operated KMEO (now KTCK-FM) in Flower Mound, Texas. 2003 through 2005 proved to be a decline of "Memories" as some stations switched formats.

In the Summer of 2006, "Unforgettable Favorites" was discontinued and then merged into the adult standards format "Timeless Classics" and used the new branding "Timeless Favorites" up until a year later when it rebranded itself as simply "Timeless"--about the same time Citadel Broadcasting took control of ABC Radio (Citadel Media since April 2009). "Timeless" ended February 15, 2010.

Memories (David Guetta song)

"Memories" is a song by French disc jockey David Guetta featuring American rapper Kid Cudi. It was released in February 2010 as the fourth single from Guetta's fourth studio album, One Love. The song became a top five hit in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Australia, the Netherlands, Finland, Poland, New Zealand, France and Ireland. It charted within the top ten in Germany, Hungary, Switzerland and Denmark. The music video was filmed in Miami and directed by Keith Schofield. It was released in the United States as the album's fourth single.

Critical reception

Robert Copsey of Digital Spy gave the song a positive review stating: "Here he drafts in Kid 'Day N' Nite' Cudi to lay down the vocals over his trademark piano-backed beats. All the makings of a Guetta classic are present and correct, and Cudi's nonchalant, mellow vocals are pleasant enough, but it all feels that bit too familiar. It's hard to avoid the conclusion that 'Memories' adds nothing new to a sound that seemingly took over the world in '09 – not that anyone's going to grumble when it comes on at Oceana this Friday night, of course" .

What Evil Lurks

What Evil Lurks is an EP by English band The Prodigy. The 12" vinyl record was released in a limited number in February 1991, selling around 7000 copies.

The four songs were part of the 10-track demo Howlett sent to XL Recordings when he was attempting to obtain a record deal. Before "What Evil Lurks" had released, "Android" got an early release in November 1990 and it was released on the expanded version of Experience. The original version of "Everybody in the Place" is featured on the record and is different from the eventual Fairground Version on the single with the same name.

The EP was re-issued in a limited edition on 27 September 2004, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of XL Recordings.

In the Netherlands "Android" was at that time the floorfiller, so local version had it as an a-side with "Everybody In The Place" while "What Evil Lurks" and "We Gonna Rock" were both b-side.

Android Lollipop

Android Lollipop is a version of the Android mobile operating system developed by Google, spanning versions between 5.0 and 5.1.1. Unveiled on June 25, 2014, during the Google I/O conference, it became available through official over-the-air (OTA) updates on November 12, 2014, for select devices that run distributions of Android serviced by Google (such as Nexus and Google Play edition devices). Its source code was made available on November 3, 2014.

One of the most prominent changes in the Lollipop release is a redesigned user interface built around a design language known as "Material design". Other changes include improvements to the notifications, which can be accessed from the lockscreen and displayed within applications as top-of-the-screen banners. Google also made internal changes to the platform, with the Android Runtime (ART) officially replacing Dalvik for improved application performance, and with changes intended to improve and optimize battery usage.

As of June 2015, statistics issued by Google indicate that 12.4% of all Android devices accessing Google Play run Lollipop.

Android Marshmallow

Android 6.0 "Marshmallow" is a version of the Android mobile operating system. First unveiled in May 2015 at Google I/O under the codename "Android 'M'", it was officially released in October 2015.

Marshmallow primarily focuses on improving the overall user experience of Lollipop, introducing a new permissions architecture, new APIs for contextual assistants (a feature notably leveraged by "Google Now On Tap"—a new capability of the Google Search app), a new power management system that reduces background activity when a device is not being physically handled, native support for fingerprint recognition and USB Type-C connectors, the ability to migrate data and applications to a microSD card and use it as primary storage, as well as other internal changes.

History

The developer preview build, codenamed Android "M", was unveiled and released at Google I/O on May 28, 2015, for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 phones, Nexus 9 tablet, and Nexus Player set-top box, under the build number MPZ44Q. The third developer preview under build number MPA44G was released on August 17, 2015, later updated to MPA44I, and brought fixes related to Android for Work profiles."Marshmallow" was officially announced as the release's name the same day.

The extension .green is a generic Top Level Domain (gTLD) The Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) delegated the .green extension to the Domain Name System (DNS) on June 19, 2014. The .green gTLD is used by individuals, communities, industries and environmental organizations showcasing their position in the green movement. .green websites support the spread of green awareness and information around the world. The .green TLD and those who use it promote the green economy, innovation and conservation. The organization donates a percentage of all sales and renewals of .green domain names to The DotGreen Foundation for the purpose of funding environmental sustainability projects for organizations worldwide.
