The Eagles have started this term off well.
They have another shot just now, with Le Cras lining up on angle from 25 out.
He doesn't miss too often, does he? Nice kick.
They're in front!
Another oen to the Dogs, this time through Libba.
The last kick inside 50 was a good one, and he gobbled up the mark.
And now Picken goals, after marking in the clear right in front.
The Dogs have a bit of control back.
Hunter goals, with his 29th possession.
The third quarter isn't even halfway over yet....
Dogs take the lead back again.

Super quick goal to the Eagles, via Yeo. Smart snap off hands after West Coast got a quk clearance from the first centre bounce.
Dogs' lead back to 2.
Kennedy's had just the one kick for the Eagles. Just a minor issue!
Some ball winners.

Hunter (22)
Macrae (20)
Suckling (16)
Boyd (15)
West Coast
Gaff (12)
Hurn (12)
Cole (11)
Hutchings (11)

Some half-time stats for you.
The Eagles still have more inside 50s on the board: 28 to 20.
I thought the Dogs did well that quarter to make them take harder shots, and to even deny them shots in the first place.
The Dogs have 20 clearances to the Eagles' 16, it felt like they began to get an edge in that area throughout the second quarter.
They've had 50 handball receives to West Coast's 28, which sas a bit about how they're moving the ball.
Half time
WB: 6.6-42
WCE: 5.4-34
Two goals to one for the Dogs that term.
Their turn to regret some wasted chances.
Back to topSome trouble here for Toby McLean, who's been helped off the ground by trainers. May be an ankle problem.
Stringer's had 10 disposals and kicked two goals so far #AFLDogsEagles #ohwhatafeeling https://t.co/Nhm2zSJrD1

Kennedy's found some space, but kicked across goal.
The Dogs are doing much better at maintaining possession and keeping the ball away from the West Coast forward line.
Goal to Roughead, after a nice mark. He got some height there, and kicked from 25 out.
Dogs are pushing away here, and starting to run hard and really dominate possession.
Big stretch by Redpath, who's marked about 40 metres out.
He's missed to the right though. Good patch for the Dogs, just when the Eagles were starting to get some run going.
Back to topBig goal to Libba, and the Dogs have the lead one more.
Nice little, late lead and Jordan Roughead got the ball to him just outside 50 metres.
The Eagles were pushing and pushing for a couple of minutes there, but Hunter (a miss) and Libba (goal) were both able to work shots on goal.
Dogs lead by 5.
Shot on goal now for Darling.
A Bulldog handball turnover at the back of the centre square gave the Eagles room to set this one up.
It is a ... GOAL. Fantastic kick from a step or two inside the 50 metres line, on an angle.
Eagles lead again, 34-32. Six minutes gone.
That was some goal to Stringer to kick off the second term.
A bit of casual brilliance from the boundary line. He was a bit lucky to get a free for deliberate out of bounds, there.
Dogs are in front, 31-28.
Goal to Darling, and then one to Dunkley to finish off the first quarter.
Apologies for the lack of updates... I blame technology.
The Eagles had a heap of inside 50s (18) and the Dogs didn't have many (9).
It's a fast and furious type game. West Coast should really be a few goals up; their forward line is causing the Dogs some match-up issues.
Scores are:
Dogs: 4.1-25
WCE: 4.4-28
Yikes.
Jack Redden has just missed the most open of open goals. Off the side of the boot from about 2 metres out.
And the Dogs have made him regret it. End to end, where Jake Stringer has shrugged a tackle and booted his first goal.
WCE: 21
Dogs: 18
