The history of Blanes dates back to the Roman Empire, some centurys B.C.. The Romans started 'Romanizing' Blanes and surroundings around 300 B.C.. There are remainings being found from around this time. After the reign of the Romans it was reigned by Arabs and Catholics. In the 13th century, after the Christians regained the power, important achitectural developments took place in Blanes. Some exampels are the palace, Palacio de los Vizcondes, the church Íglesia Parroquial and the citywalls.
In the 17th century, during de war of Los Segadores, Blanes got practically burned to ashes. As an example, the Palacio de los Vizcondes got completly destroyed. The last bad event Blanes had to deal with was the war Guerra de la Sucesion, after that the reconstruction of the town and the expansion of the agriculture started.
Juan Manuel Blanes (June 8, 1830 – April 15, 1901) was a noted Uruguayan painter of the Realist school.
Blanes was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1830. He was raised by his mother, with whom he relocated to the countryside in his early teens. Blanes took an interest in drawing at this point, and shortly afterwards, was hired as an illustrator for a Montevideo newsdaily, El Defensor de la Independencia Americana. Earning extra income with watercolors, he returned to his mother and, in 1854, established his first atelier.
He married María Linari, and in 1855, the couple settled in Salto, where he worked as a portrait painter. They relocated to Concepción del Uruguay (across the Uruguay River, in Argentina) in 1857, and Blanes was commissioned by Argentine President Justo José de Urquiza to complete a number of portraits, allegories and landscapes to grace his nearby estancia, the Palacio San José. Returning to Montevideo in 1861, the talented painter obtained a scholarship from the Uruguayan government, and with it, traveled with his family to Florence, Italy, where he studied under Antonio Ciseri until 1864.
Supe que te sientas frente al mar...
Y te pasas las horas llorando a malgastar
Me han dicho que esperando mi regreso
Te pasara el tiempo y te da igual
Y a mi me pasa igual
Y he llorado impotente
Por ti...
Vuelvo...
Aunque no tenga alas para volar yo vuelvo...
Porque mi amor por ti
No es nuevo...
Ahyyy...
Vuelvo...
Y a mi me pasa igual
Mi amor por ti no muere
No dejes de esperar
Porque...
Vuelvo...
Aunque no tenga alas para volar yo vuelvo...
Porque mi amor por ti
No es nuevo...
Ahyyy...
Vuelvo...
Es un compromiso de corazon
Que tengo
Por eso no llores mas por mi...
Que vuelvo
Aunque se oponga el mar...
Aunque se oponga el cielo...
Vuelvo...
Porque te amo...
Yo vuelvo...
Mi amor
Yo vuelvo
Aunque se oponga el mar
Aunque se oponga el cielo
Vuelvo
Aunque no tenga alas para volar
Yo vuelvo
Porque mi amor por ti no es nuevo
Aunque se oponga el mar
Aunque se oponga el cielo
Vuelvo...
Es un compromiso de corazon
Que tengo
Por eso no llores mas por mi...
Que vuelvo
Aunque se oponga el mar...
Aunque se oponga el cielo...
