SOME of the Hunter’s best creative makers and specialist producers will feature at Westfield Kotara’s Rooftop venue in the coming weeks.

On September 24 a pop-up market, Providore J’adore, will give local artists, artisans and creators a chance to sell their authentic, locally designed and beautifully made wares on The Rooftop.

There will be handmade and unique jewellery from The Strutt Sisters, Cherry Cherry Boom and Jackie Smallcombe Jewellery, bespoke fashion and leather goods from Vous Clothing, Hide and Seeker and I & Mine, and homewares and gifts from makers such as Colour Clouds by Leah, Pottery Ali, Where Things Happen Studio, Concrete Crush and Ritual Object.

Hunter-based businesses Imbibe Water Kefir and Little Bone Broth Co will be offering samples and you will be able to enjoy a live art installation by Bridie Watts as well as a bespoke macrame demonstration by the talented Mim Concepts.

At the second event, Hunter Harvest on October 22, food and wine producers will be giving Westfield customers a taste of what’s on offer this spring in the Hunter Valley.

Twenty of the Hunter’s premium wineries will feature at Hunter Harvest. Some of the names already locked in include Margan Wines, Brokenwood, Keith Tulloch Wines, Meerea Park, Tulloch, Drayton’s Family Wines, Hungerford Hill and Pepper Tree Wines.

Many of the wineries, local food producers and chefs from the Hunter Valley will be offering seasonal tastings and samples as well as food and wine matching workshops and live cooking demonstrations.

Westfield Kotara marketing manager Lillias Foster says she is passionate about using The Rooftop to host events that celebrate all the Hunter has to offer.

“We have much to be proud of when it comes to creativity and produce in the Hunter and it is wonderful to have the space to hold bespoke events such as Providore J’adore and Hunter Harvest at Westfield.

“It is great to be able to bring that relaxed market-vibe to The Rooftop, giving customers the opportunity to shop, relax, eat and chat to local producers and creatives all in the one place.”
