Lewis (Scottish Gaelic: Leòdhas, pronounced [ʎɔː.əs̪], also Isle of Lewis) is the northern part of Lewis and Harris, the largest island of the Western Isles or Outer Hebrides (an archipelago) of Scotland. The total area of Lewis is 683 square miles (1,770 km2).
Lewis is, in general, the lower lying part of the island, with the other part, Harris, being more mountainous. The flatter, more fertile land means Lewis contains the largest settlement, Stornoway, and three-quarters of the population of the Western Isles. Beyond human habitation, the island's diverse habitats are home to an assortment of flora and fauna, such as the golden eagle, red deer and seals and are recognised in a number of conservation areas.
Lewis is of Presbyterian tradition with a rich history, having once been part of the Norse Kingdom of Mann and the Isles. Today, life is very different from elsewhere in Scotland with Sabbath observance, the Gaelic language and peat cutting retaining more importance than elsewhere. Lewis has a rich cultural heritage as can be seen from its myths and legends as well as the local literary and musical traditions.

The mother-in-law tells him to stay away, because Ann and Ted don't want to see him anymore. In his despair Roy involves an old sweetheart in a plan to kidnap Ted. If she accompany them on the night train to Inverness, they will be perceived as a family, and thereby not evoke any suspicions. He doesn't know that Ted has diabetes and needs his injections. The police soon find out that Roy has kidnapped Ted, but they don't know where they have gone. Ann, the doctor and the chief inspector wait nervously at Scotland Yard for information, while the night hours are passing by. Ted must soon be found and get insulin, otherwise he will die.

"On the Sunny Side of the Street" is a 1930 song composed by Jimmy McHugh, with lyrics by Dorothy Fields. Having become a jazz standard, it was played (usually as an instrumental) by such greats as Dave Brubeck, Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Lionel Hampton, Errol Garner, Dizzy Gillespie, and Count Basie. Frankie Laine had a hit with his recording, and the song also was recorded by other leading vocalists, including Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra. Arguably the best known arrangement is found in the 1945 record by Tommy Dorsey and the Sentimentaists. The children's group Sharon Lois and Bram recorded a version for their Sing A to Z recording. Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Rollins and Sonny Stitt recorded their well-known version on their Sonny Side Up album. On The Sunny Si...

Lewis and Harris in the Outer Hebrides make up the largest island in Scotland. This is the third largest single island of the British Isles, after Great Britain and Ireland. The northern part of the island is called Lewis, the southern is Harris and both are frequently referred to as if they were separate islands. The boundary between Lewis and Harris is formed by a line with Loch Resort on the west and Loch Seaforth on the east. The island does not have a common name in either English or Scottish Gaelic and is referred to as 'Lewis and Harris', 'Lewis with Harris', 'Harris with Lewis' etc. Rarely, the collective name of the Long Island is used, although this is normally applied to the entire Outer Hebrides. Most of Harris is very hilly, with more than thirty peaks above 1,000 ft (300 m) h...

I admit I was quite nervous about driving on the opposite side from what I am used to and after being in Edinburgh for a month, I was extra nervous about city driving. We decided to take the bus to Inverness, a smaller city, and rent a car from there. I am glad we did because we just wouldn't have been able to explore the islands the way we did, with lot's of time, freedom and flexibility if we...

There could not have been a better day for this event. Everyone had a great time. Carnival is much more than the parade and costumes, though. Music plays an important part in creating such an exhilarating atmosphere. Visitors to the festival might hear calypso, which grew out of traditional folk music in Trinidad and Tobago; soca, a contemporary offshoot of calypso that is performed by large bands with drums, congas, bass, guitars, keyboards, saxophones, brass and backing vocalists; rap; and reggae, a style with Jamaican roots.
Ooh-wee-ooh
Ooh-wee-ooh

Lazee
Mohombi
Ooh-wee-ooh
Ooh-wee-ooh
(Here we go)
I'm on the dancefloor
I do it for family and friends
And my fans on tour
Do it from the heart
When it hits the store
And to hits your ear
Something you give more
Make you wanna some more
And I give it some more
And I can never give 'em enough
It seems I give it up
All the words will stuck
Whole later
The boys are amazing
As I was, I got the dancefloor shakin'
From the top floor, down to the basement (aha)
And the black eyed were spending living
Better believe, I've got this feeling, Black Eyed Peas
Make you booty-trap on for you playing
When they ask where I do it for
I'll say
I do it for the once who got my back (ooh-ooh-wee)
I do it from my heart, on every track (ooh-ooh-wee)
I do it for my city, we party every day
I do it for the crowd, just tonight we're going down, down
Ooh-wee-ooh
Ooh-wee-ooh
I'm on the dancefloor
Ask me when I'm so fown, fown
You know we're going down, down
Ooh-wee-ooh
Ooh-wee-ooh
I'm on the dancefloor
Ask me when I'm so fown, fown
You know we're going down, down
Ah, Viva La Vida on the play, on the Coldplay
When I feel flay, table and press play
Figured by back in the day
Get mama in the crib when I'm working on my work play
Keep dreaming, that's what sun say
My mama did not rease the fool compending
Way back when I use the wrap off lunchdays
I knew I'll make it to the top, one day
Now days, a flaw-pa
How the core in this spaceship, saffa
Give me take into the world, ba-pa
With my pokerface, so Gaga
No mission is impossible
The jam black, Tom Cruise
I mean, no, that cool
So when you ask me what I do
'Til what I do
Where I do it for
I'll say
I do it for the once who got my back (ooh-ooh-wee)
I do it from my heart, on every track (ooh-ooh-wee)
