Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is a 2006 American fantasy swashbuckler film and the second installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, following The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003). It was directed by Gore Verbinski, written by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. In the film, the wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) is interrupted by Lord Cutler Beckett (Tom Hollander), who wants Turner to acquire the compass of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in a bid to find the Dead Man's Chest. Sparrow discovers his debt to Davy Jones (Bill Nighy) is due.

Two sequels to Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl were conceived in 2004, with Elliott and Rossio developing a story arc that would span both films. Filming took place from February to September 2005 in Palos Verdes, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominica, and The Bahamas, as well as on sets constructed at Walt Disney Studios. It was shot back-to-back with the third film of the series, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

Pirates of the Caribbean is a series of fantasy swashbuckler films produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and based on Walt Disney's theme park ride of the same name. The film series started with their first release on the big screen in 2003 with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, which received positive reviews from the critics and grossed US$654 million worldwide. After the first film's success, Walt Disney Pictures revealed that a trilogy was in the works. The franchise's second film, subtitled Dead Man's Chest, was released three years later in 2006; the sequel proved successful, breaking financial records worldwide the day of its premiere. Dead Man's Chest ended up being the number one film of the year upon earning almost $1.1 billion to-date at the worldwide box office. The third film in the series, subtitled At World's End, followed in 2007, and Disney released a fourth film, subtitled On Stranger Tides, in 2011 in conventional 2D, Digital 3-D and IMAX 3D. On Stranger Tides succeeded in also grossing more than $1 billion, becoming the second film in the franchise and only the eighth film in history to achieve this.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is a 2011 American-British-Spanish fantasy swashbuckler film and the fourth installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. It is the first film in the series not to be directed by Gore Verbinski, being replaced by Rob Marshall. Jerry Bruckheimer again served as producer. The film serves as a stand-alone sequel to the previous installments. In the film, which draws its plot from the novel On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) is joined by Angelica (Penélope Cruz) in his search for the Fountain of Youth, confronting the infamous pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane). The film was produced by Walt Disney Pictures and released in the United States on May 20, 2011. It was the first film in the series to be released in the Disney Digital 3-D and IMAX 3D formats.

Writers Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio first learned of Powers' novel during the back-to-back production of Dead Man's Chest and At World's End, and considered it a good starting point for a new movie in the series. Pre-production started after the end of the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, with Depp collaborating with the writers on the story design. Principal photography rolled for 106 days between June and November 2010, with locations in Hawaii, the United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, and California. Filming employed 3D cameras similar to those used in the production of the 2009 film Avatar, and ten companies were involved with the film's visual effects. Following inflated production costs it is currently noted as the most expensive film ever made.

Tell No Tales is the third studio album by the Norwegian hard rock band TNT. It was the best selling TNT album in the US, according to their bass guitarist Morty Black. This album diverted from the power metal style of Knights of the New Thunder into a more glam metal direction.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is an upcoming American fantasy swashbuckler film, and the fifth installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. The film will be directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg from a script by Jeff Nathanson, with Jerry Bruckheimer again serving as producer. It is intended to be a soft-reboot of the franchise. The film is scheduled to star Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, Javier Bardem as the film's villain, Captain Salazar, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner, as well as Brenton Thwaites as Henry Turner, Kaya Scodelario as Carina Smyth, Kevin McNally as Joshamee Gibbs, and Geoffrey Rush as Captain Barbossa.

Pre-production for the film started shortly before the fourth installment On Stranger Tides was released in early 2011, with writer Terry Rossio doing a script for the film. In early 2013, Jeff Nathanson was hired to write a new script, with Depp being involved in Nathanson's writing process. Initially planned for a 2015 release, the film was delayed to 2016 and then to 2017, due to script and budget issues. Principal photography started in Australia in February 2015, after the Australian government offered Disney $20 million of tax incentives, and ended in July 2015. It is set to be released in Disney Digital 3D on May 26, 2017.

Rules

Caribbean is a game for two to four players, taking place in the Caribbean in the 18th century. Six pirate ships, named Arriba, Bravo, Caribic, Diabolo, Evita and Fuego, sail the waters, intent on plundering treasure from ports both on the continent and on several islands. The players are looking to make as much profit as possible from this plundering.

However, the players do not have direct control over the ships - their pirate crews work independently, and so the players have to bribe them with barrels of rum to get to issue them orders. To this end, each player has seven cards, each containing a different number of barrels. Six of these are numbered from 0 to 5, and the seventh is a special "robber" card, numbered -1.

At the start of a round, each player assigns six of their cards, in secret, to the six pirate ships, deciding on how much rum they want to bribe each ship's crew with. After this, the players go through the ships one by one, revealing their bribes for the ship in question. The player with the highest bribe gets to move the ship, as many places as there are barrels on their bribe card. In case of a tie, the players may opt to reveal their seventh card as a tie-breaker. This tie-breaker may only be used once per round. If another player has assigned the "robber" card to the ship in question, one barrel of rum is stolen from the player with the highest bribe.
