National Rum Day
Release your inner pirate and celebrate National Rum Day on Tuesday 16 August at one of Sydney’s oldest rum warehouses.
You may know it as the home to Bistrot Gavroche but the space we occupy was originally a rum warehouse in the 1800s. To pay tribute to its previous identity and our French heritage, we are offering a rum flight featuring four rums from French colonies. The flight will be available lunch and dinner from Monday 15 to Saturday 20 August for $30 per person and will include:
Habitation St Etienne, Vieux Malt 2005 (Martinique)
Damoiseau 18 ans 1991 (Guadeloupe)
Barbacourt 4 ans Old Rum (Haiti)
Arcane Extraroma Grand Amber Rum (Mauritius)
And if you’re like us and will run with any excuse to combine booze into a dish, then our dessert special of Rum Baba with chocolate mousse, Speculoos and spiced rum for $15, may be just what you’re looking for. Also available from 15 to 20 August, lunch and dinner.

Book lunch or dinner on Father’s Day, Sunday 4 September, with us and all guests will receive a complimentary Kir Royal.
This traditional French cocktail consists of crème de cassis topped up with Billecart-Salmon Brut Réserve and is the perfect way to start celebrations with the father in your life.

Housed in a beautiful old rum warehouse, Bistrot Gavroche respects the historical structure of this timeless Sydney space while creating a traditional Parisian bistro atmosphere that’s unique to the city. Bistrot Gavroche is the perfect backdrop for entertaining, celebrations and corporate functions with menus well-suited for sharing. The wine list showcases some of the best vintages from French and Australian wineries so allow our team to create a tailored wine experience to complement the menu and impress your guests.
Group Functions
Bistrot Gavroche welcomes group bookings with a set menu available for groups of 10 people or more for $75 per person. All beverages are charged on consumption and a 10% service charge is applicable to the total bill. With a capacity to accommodate 70 seated guests, we’re also happy to discuss exclusive use of the restaurant.
