Lady (D'Angelo song)

"Lady" is a song co-written, co-produced and performed by American neo soul singer D'Angelo, issued as the third single from his debut studio album Brown Sugar. A remixed version of the song (titled the Clean Street Version) was also released, featuring vocals from American hip hop musician AZ. Separate music videos were created for both versions of the song.

"Lady" is D'Angelo's biggest hit single to date in the United States, peaking at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1996. It was certified gold by the RIAA on June 4, 1996. The song was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 1997, but lost to "Your Secret Love" by Luther Vandross.

The Game's 2013 single "All That (Lady)" uses a clear vocal sample of "Lady".

Music videos

The official music video for the original version of the song was directed by Hype Williams. The video for the remix version was directed by Brett Ratner. In addition to AZ, the remix video features appearances from singers Faith Evans and Joi; as well as Erykah Badu in her first music video appearance.

Lady (Lenny Kravitz song)

"Lady" is the final single from the 2004 album Baptism by American rock musician Lenny Kravitz. It was released on November 23, 2004. The song is believed to be written about Kravitz's then-girlfriend, Nicole Kidman. The track was used heavily in the GAP ads. The commercials featured Kravitz dancing and singing the song with his guitar to Sarah Jessica Parker.

Music video

The video was directed by Philip Andelman. It consists of Kravitz playing guitar and singing in a circular stage, while women are dancing around him. There are lights that change depending on the intensity of the sound of the song.

In popular culture

ABC made use of the song to promote its hit television series Alias in commercials that appeared in full length in movie theaters and in edited form on the network.

"Lady (Hear Me Tonight)" is the debut single by French house duo Modjo, written and performed by vocalist Yann Destagnol and producer Romain Tranchart, and released in July 2000. The song is written in Bb Minor.

Content

A house music song, it features a guitar sample of "Soup for One" performed by Chic, as written by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards. In 2011, Chic added the song to their concert setlist, which is performed as a mashup song with "Soup for One".

The single includes the original version of the track, plus an acoustic version, both performed by Modjo. Remixes have been provided by Harry Romero, Roy Davis, Jr. and Danny Tenaglia.

Release

The song debuted at number one in the UK, where it stayed for two weeks to become the 16th best-selling single of 2000. It also became a top 10 hit in thirteen countries. In the United States, the song peaked at number one on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart.

Mash-up

A mash-up of the track with "The Boy Is Mine" by Brandy Norwood and Monica charted in the UK in March 2001 at number 10, credited to Stuntmasterz.

Missé is a commune in the Deux-Sèvres department in western France.

Miss 1917

Miss 1917 is a musical revue with a book by Guy Bolton and P. G. Wodehouse, music by Victor Herbert, Jerome Kern and others, and lyrics by Harry B. Smith, Otto Harbach, Henry Blossom and others. Made up of a string of vignettes, the show features songs from such musicals as The Wizard of Oz, Three Twins, Babes in Toyland, Ziegfeld Follies and The Belle of New York.

Background

In 1916, Charles Dillingham and Florenz Ziegfeld produced The Century Girl, with music by Irving Berlin. Despite mildly positive reviews, the show closed without recouping its investment. On their next production, which was to be called Miss 1917, they hired Jerome Kern and Victor Herbert to compose the score and Guy Bolton and P.G. Wodehouse to collaborate on the book. Kern and Bolton had collaborated on the Princess Theatre musicals, including Very Good Eddie (1915). British humorist and playwright Wodehouse then joined them for several innovative musicals there, including Oh, Boy! (1917).

With foundations in denim wear, Miss Sixty produces original cuts and casual wear styles designed specifically for females. History

The Miss Sixty brand is owned by Sixty Group, which was founded in 1990 and has over 1,500 employees. The following year, in 1991, Sixty Group launched a clothing line called Miss Sixty. The brand quickly gained international attention and by 1992 it was available in the United States. Their products are available in various department stores and their own flagship stores.

In 2000, Miss Sixty launched their own line of footwear. In 2002, Miss Sixty launched an eyewear line and in 2004, they introduced a children's line of clothing.

The Miss Sixty brand has been featured at fashion events, including the New York Fashion Week.

In 2008, its subsidiary Sixty UK (started in 1998), which operated the Miss Sixty and Energie fashion brand went into administration and closed shortly afterwards.

This is a character guide for the Game Boy Advance game Fire Emblem. Each character has his or her class labeled. A class is a category within the Fire Emblem series that outlines a unit's characteristics. Along with the character's class is their "promotion class" — the class that the character will upgrade to upon promotion. Lyn (リン, Rin) is the first female main character in the series since Fire Emblem Gaiden. Although her full name is Lyndis (リンディス, Rindisu), she is referred to in almost all screens by her Sacaen name 'Lyn' throughout the game. The two names are generally regarded to be interchangeable, depending on who addresses her. She is 18 (15 in the Japanese version) at the beginning of the events of Fire Emblem.
