Keith Urban (also known as Keith Urban II) is the second studio album by Australian country music artist Keith Urban, released on 19 October 1999 through Capitol Nashville.
Prior to this album, Urban recorded a self-titled album in Australia in 1991 and another in the US as a member of the short-lived band The Ranch. The US album is Urban's breakthrough album, as it produced four singles on the Billboard country charts. In order of release, the singles were "It's a Love Thing" (number 18), "Your Everything" (number 4), "But for the Grace of God" (number 1), and "Where the Blacktop Ends" (number 3). It has sold 980,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album track "A Little Luck of Our Own" was originally titled "Luck of Our Own" as first recorded by singer-songwriter Dale Daniel on her 1993 album of the same name.
Kate Victoria Tunstall (born 23 June 1975), known by her stage name KT Tunstall, is a Scottish singer-songwriter and musician. She broke into the public eye with a 2004 live solo performance of her song "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" on Later... with Jools Holland.
Born in Edinburgh as an illegitimate child of a Hong Kong-born exotic dancer, she was adopted by David and Rosemary Tunstall of St Andrews. She attended the Lawhead Primary and Madras College in St. Andrews, High School of Dundee and Kent School in New England. She earned her BA in Drama & Music in 1996 from the Royal Holloway, University of London, which conferred her an honorary doctorate in 2011. At the age of four she started playing piano, and later other musical instruments.
Inspired by childhood experiences at her foster father's physics laboratory at University of St Andrews, her debut album was named Eye to the Telescope. Released in 2004, this album marked her success in music career. It earned her nominations for the Mercury Prize in 2005, BRIT Award for Best British Live Act and BRIT Award for Best Breakthrough Act in 2006, and Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2007. She eventually won BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist and European Border Breakers Award, both in 2006. The single "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" was given the Q Magazine Award for Best Track in 2005, and Suddenly I See won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song in 2006. Suddenly I See became a popular hit and has been featured in The Devil Wears Prada, Blind Dating, Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, Love, Rosie, Thrillville, and as a campaign song of the US presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton in 2008.
I still remember when my kiss would take your breath away
And when my touch would speak the words that I just couldn't say
Now when I touch you I feel you pushing me away
Is this for real or just an illusion?
What were you thinking when you said those words you said to me
You think your touch would make a girl forget so easily
Believe me, boy, I don't wanna ever set you free
We gotta try just to make it right
Love only lasts just as long as you make it
We got a chance to make it right if we take it
Don't give up, don't give up
We got a good thing
Love only lasts just as long as you make it
We got a chance to make it right if we take it
Don't give up, don't give up
We got a good thing
I know I hurt you when the words I say don't come out right
You know I think that everything should be in black and white
We've come to far to give up this love without a fight
I need to know that this love is forever
I never said that I was ever gonna let you go
Believe me, boy, I love you more than words could ever show
And if I hurt you there's just one thing you need to know
I'm not the one giving up the fight
If it feels right
Close your eyes just lay back make up all night
Touch my hand take me there baby hold tight
'Cause I know we can both make it alright, alright
If it feels right
Close your eyes just lay back make up all night
Touch my hand take me there baby hold tight
