ACA's explosive Mehajer videos
Nine's A Current Affair programme aired video allegedly obtained by a friend of Salim Mehajer's estranged wife Aysha, which purportedly shows Mehajer screaming threats at her.
Mr Mehajer posted a picture of a ship on Sydney Harbour with the caption, "Goodbye Australia" on his Instagram page on Saturday.
"Will be taking off to pursue my dream challenges," he wrote, adding: "I'll be back."
The announcement comes after splitting from his wife Aysha April Learmonth, after marrying her in an extravagant ceremony which shut down a suburban street in Lidcombe last year.
A court has issued an order that he not approach the former Wollongong beautician after police lodged a provisional AVO on Ms Learmonth's behalf in July. A separate AVO against Mr Mehajer has been taken out by a member of Ms Learmonth's family.
Both AVO matters have been adjourned to Wollongong Local Court on September 8.
A video of Mr Mehajer ranting at his estranged wife was aired last month and NSW Police are investigating.
Mr Mehajer has been involved in a number of court cases, with Bruce Herat, a personal trainer at his gym and father of Sydney siege hostage Joel Herat, also taking out an AVO against him.
Auburn City Council is also the subject of a public inquiry examining misconduct allegations. The now defunct council was suspended by the NSW Government in February.
Mr Mehajer has moved on romantically, with reports he is now seeing flight attendant Constance Siaflas who attended his sister's wedding last Saturday.
Fairfax Media has contacted Mr Mehajer for comment.
