    Pope was on the steering committee for Petra Taskforce, an investigation in which Gobbo was used as a witness (against Dale). Also on committee that reviewed source development unit, which led to its disbandment.

    Pope said he declared that he was Gobbo's handler in 1999 before he took the role as assistant commissioner in charge of intel and covert support. He said he made declarations to Graham Ashton, Sir Ken Jones and Simon Overland, amongst others.

    Main points. - Policeman who first registered her in 1995 said had "a episode of physical intimacy" (Winneke's words!) with her in 1997. - He later went to her for legal advice with Paul Dale. They were mates. Dale was being investigated for burglary of a drug house.
