In which John Green teaches you about the American Revolution. And the Revolutionary War. I know we've labored the point here, but they weren't the same thing. In any case, John will teach you about the major battles of the war, and discuss the strategies on both sides. Everyone is familiar with how this war played out for the Founding Fathers; they got to become the Founding Fathers. But what did the revolution mean to the common people in the United States? For white, property-owning males, it was pretty sweet. They gained rights that were a definite step up from being British Colonial citizens. For everyone else, the short-term gains were not clear. Women's rights were unaffected, and slaves remained in slavery. As for poor white folks, they remained poor and disenfranchised. The reality is it took a long time for this whole democracy thing to get underway, and the principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness weren't immediately available to all these newly minted Americans.

This is Jupiter’s Giant Red Spot, and it has suffered from this pretty major zit for as long as mankind has observed it, but could this be about to change? The spot is actually a giant raging 300 mile an hour storm which has lasted for at least 186 years, and in all probability much longer. The first people to observe the Spot were Robert Hooke and Gian-Dominique Cassini sometime between 1664 and 1665, but more detailed observations were made in the 1800s, and when we compare images of the Great Red Spot taken by Hubble recently to those shot in the 19th Century, we can see that the Great Red Spot has shrunk by half.
Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune all look pretty fancy with a ring around them don’t you think? Uranus has a ring too, which sounds pretty painful. But do you ever wonder if Mars gets jealous and wishes it had one of its very own? Well if you wait around long enough you just might see this happen.
Despite being a gas giant Jupiter is believed to have a solid core made of iron, rock and ice, but after an experiment by planetary scientists at the California Institute of Technology it seems that this solid core may not last forever.
For at least the past 45,000 years our solar system has been making its way through a cloud of gas called the Local Interstellar Cloud. But a study of these interstellar clouds undertaken over several decades by various universities including Chicago and New Hampshire has revealed that we may be about to pass through it, with devastating results.
Human beings haven’t visited the Moon since 1972, so it’s no surprise that she may wanna start seeing other people. But sometime in the far future that giant ball of grey cheese in the sky will begin to leave the Earth behind, and the consequences for anything still living here will be huge.
In a 2009 issue of the journal Nature the results of a computer simulation were published which showed that at some point over the next few billion years there is a small chance that Mercury could go…a little crazy. Jupiter’s gravity is so strong it actually warps Mercury’s orbit, which at present is elliptical, but could one day become so distorted it overlaps the orbit of Venus. And if that happens, there isn’t a pile of doo doo or a fan big enough to use as a suitable metaphor to describe the carnage that will unfold.
It’s inevitable folks. All great stories must come to an end, and the solar system’s eventual quadrillion year run will finish with an absolute doozy.

The Joker Is Wild (album)
The Joker is Wild was the second album released by Alex Harvey after the demise of The Soul Band. The album was released in 1972. Some time after 1972 the album The Joker Is Wild was reissued and repackaged, the album song listings stayed the same, but the album was credited as being made by "The Sensational Alex Harvey Band" even though this band did not exist at the time, and the title was changed to This Is.
Background
The album was recorded at Regent Sound Studio, London in early 1972. These songs are unfinished demos only, recorded for a Spanish singer named Tony Caldeira (who wrote "The Joker Is Wild" and "Silhouette and Shadow"). Alex was teaching Tony vocal delivery and phrasing. Alex received a cheque for the session which subsequently bounced. The producer, Paul Murphy, sold the tapes to Metronome Records in Germany and they issued the LP as The Joker Is Wild in 1972. This Is SAHB is a low budget reissue of "Joker" intended to cash in on SAHB's success (even though Zal, Chris, Ted and Hugh weren't involved with the recordings). The photo of SAHB on the sleeve features keyboard player John Martin on the far left.

Narration provided by JaM Advertising New Mexico www.tasteofjam.com This is Jupiter’s Giant Red Spot, and it has suffered from this pretty major zit for as long as mankind has observed it, but could this be about to change? The spot is actually a giant raging 300 mile an hour storm which has lasted for at least 186 years, and in all probability much longer. The first people to observe the Spot were Robert Hooke and Gian-Dominique Cassini sometime between 1664 and 1665, but more detailed observations were made in the 1800s, and when we compare images of the Great Red Spot taken by Hubble recently to those shot in the 19th Century, we can see that the Great Red Spot has shrunk by half. Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune all look pretty fancy with a ring around them don’t you think? Uranus has a ring too, which sounds pretty painful. But do you ever wonder if Mars gets jealous and wishes it had one of its very own? Well if you wait around long enough you just might see this happen. Despite being a gas giant Jupiter is believed to have a solid core made of iron, rock and ice, but after an experiment by planetary scientists at the California Institute of Technology it seems that this solid core may not last forever. For at least the past 45,000 years our solar system has been making its way through a cloud of gas called the Local Interstellar Cloud. But a study of these interstellar clouds undertaken over several decades by various universities including Chicago and New Hampshire has revealed that we may be about to pass through it, with devastating results. Human beings haven’t visited the Moon since 1972, so it’s no surprise that she may wanna start seeing other people. But sometime in the far future that giant ball of grey cheese in the sky will begin to leave the Earth behind, and the consequences for anything still living here will be huge. In a 2009 issue of the journal Nature the results of a computer simulation were published which showed that at some point over the next few billion years there is a small chance that Mercury could go…a little crazy. Jupiter’s gravity is so strong it actually warps Mercury’s orbit, which at present is elliptical, but could one day become so distorted it overlaps the orbit of Venus. And if that happens, there isn’t a pile of doo doo or a fan big enough to use as a suitable metaphor to describe the carnage that will unfold. It’s inevitable folks. All great stories must come to an end, and the solar system’s eventual quadrillion year run will finish with an absolute doozy. -

Everyone is familiar with how this war played out for the Founding Fathers; they got to become the Founding Fathers. But what did the revolution mean to the common people in the United States? For white, property-owning males, it was pretty sweet. They gained rights that were a definite step up from being British Colonial citizens. For everyone else, the short-term gains were not clear. Women's rights were unaffected, and slaves remained in slavery. As for poor white folks, they remained poor and disenfranchised. The reality is it took a long time for this whole democracy thing to get underway, and the principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness weren't immediately available to all these newly minted Americans.

This is Jupiter’s Giant Red Spot, and it has suffered from this pretty major zit for as long as mankind has observed it, but could this be about to change? The spot is actually a giant raging 300 mile an hour storm which has lasted for at least 186 years, and in all probability much longer. The first people to observe the Spot were Robert Hooke and Gian-Dominique Cassini sometime between 1664 and 1665, but more detailed observations were made in the 1800s, and when we compare images of the Great Red Spot taken by Hubble recently to those shot in the 19th Century, we can see that the Great Red Spot has shrunk by half.
Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune all look pretty fancy with a ring around them don’t you think? Uranus has a ring too, which sounds pretty painful. But do you ever wonder if Mars gets jealous and wishes it had one of its very own? Well if you wait around long enough you just might see this happen.
Despite being a gas giant Jupiter is believed to have a solid core made of iron, rock and ice, but after an experiment by planetary scientists at the California Institute of Technology it seems that this solid core may not last forever.
For at least the past 45,000 years our solar system has been making its way through a cloud of gas called the Local Interstellar Cloud. But a study of these interstellar clouds undertaken over several decades by various universities including Chicago and New Hampshire has revealed that we may be about to pass through it, with devastating results.
Human beings haven’t visited the Moon since 1972, so it’s no surprise that she may wanna start seeing other people. But sometime in the far future that giant ball of grey cheese in the sky will begin to leave the Earth behind, and the consequences for anything still living here will be huge.
In a 2009 issue of the journal Nature the results of a computer simulation were published which showed that at some point over the next few billion years there is a small chance that Mercury could go…a little crazy. Jupiter’s gravity is so strong it actually warps Mercury’s orbit, which at present is elliptical, but could one day become so distorted it overlaps the orbit of Venus. And if that happens, there isn’t a pile of doo doo or a fan big enough to use as a suitable metaphor to describe the carnage that will unfold.
It’s inevitable folks. All great stories must come to an end, and the solar system’s eventual quadrillion year run will finish with an absolute doozy.

On the heels of his recent tour of the U.S., Canada, South Africa and Australia, Robin Schulz will be headlining major electro & dance festivals all over the world throughout the summer, such as Belgium’s Tomorrowland Festival.

What you'll need: (Super easy)
1.) 1 teaspoon of Borax ( can find at any grocery store or Walmart near the laundry detergent) mix with 1 cup of water
2.) Mix a bottle of 4oz glue with 1/2 cup of water in a separate container
3.) Add food coloring to the glue solution
4.) Mix solution with borax and solution with glue together
5.) use your hand and knee the slime
6.)Drain our the extra water into the sink
7.) Can be store in the fridge to last longer!!!
8.) Have fun and let us know how your slime turn out!

Archeologists are hailing the discovery of an ancient temple built to a pre-Hispanic god of wind in the Tlatelolca neighborhood of what is now Mexico City, IFL Science reported Friday.According to the report, a supermarket was constructed on top of the temple in the middle of the 20th century.
