The Emirates Airline Foundation aims to provide food supplies at various charities across our network like this orphanage in Gampola.

Kidane Mehret Children's Home, Ethiopia

By supplying funds and school supplies to programmes such as this orphanage in Addis Ababa, the Emirates Airline Foundation endeavours to improve education for underprivileged children.

Sustainability

In 2020, Dubai expects to welcome 20 million tourists and generate AED300 billion in annual tourism revenue. Emirates airline will play a big role in supporting this goal, and so will dnata, our home-grown air services provider which has transformed from modest beginnings into a global player.

Emirates History

On 25th October 1985, Emirates flew its first routes out of Dubai with just two aircraft—a leased Boeing 737 and an Airbus 300 B4. Then as now, our goal was quality, not quantity, and in the years since taking those first small steps onto the regional travel scene, Emirates has evolved into a globally influential travel and tourism conglomerate known the world over for our commitment to the highest standards of quality in every aspect of our business.

The Emirates Story

With a fleet of more than 230 aircraft, we currently fly to over 150 destinations in more than 80 countries around the world, and our network is expanding constantly. Over 1,500 Emirates flights depart Dubai each week on their way to destinations on six continents. In recent years, Emirates has made numerous significant announcements regarding the future of its already state-of-the-art fleet.
