There is no danger of these names knocking the monikers of the moment like Charlotte, Olivia or William out of top place, that's for sure.
But lots of parents prefer to give their babies unusual names and this list is proof that inspiration can come from many places.
Baby Center in the US compiled a list of the most surprising, creative, and uncommon names given to babies in 2015.
There are slightly unusual names like Fenella, Esma, Blade and Fulton. Then there are other names that your child is certain not share with anyone in their class when the time comes to start school.
Some of the more original choices include Arantxa, Krithik, Psalm and Frooti.
The Baby Center data comes from more than 340,000 parents who shared their baby's name with the parenting site this year. To feature on the list the name had to be given to at least three children in 2015.
The official US data, collected by government departments, will be published in early 2016.
