Situated on a side street close to Old Street Station, XOYO is an 800-capacity live music venue attracting an eclectic crowd. 
An industrial space donning concrete floors and white columns, XOYO has two rooms including an intimate upstairs bar area, and the main basement space with two bars and a stage for  live events.   

We attended the XOYO vs Ingredients club night a few weeks ago and had a brilliant night. The venue and the event attracted two very different crowds; Shoreditch hipsters in the intimate bar, and hard-core bass heads in the basement-this may sound random, but actually made for an even more pleasant evening given we could shift between different crowds and music genres.  

The line up for XOYO vs Ingredients was awesome and included: dBridge + Total Science + Dub Phizix & Skeptical ft Strategy + Jubei. All of the acts went down a storm, but Dub Phizik & Skeptical ft Strategy has to be the highlight of our night [see video below]. Given many of the events end at 3:00am, we recommend XOYO as the perfect starter venue for revellers intending on heading down to Fabric.

There are a range of new bars and venues in and around Shoreditch, but XOYO offers an array of different club nights and attracts an assortment of crowds, which ultimately makes for a venue that should stand the test of time. XOYO plays host to some of the best upcoming and cutting edge artists on the scene with a mixture of live performances and DJs. We would certainly recommend XOYO for a good night out. Entrance fees vary according to the night…we paid £6.oo for the early bird ticket to this event, which we thought was excellent for an East London club and drink prices are typical averaging £3.80 for a bottle of beer with a range of spirits and cocktails on offer.  

There are some excellent nights come up at XOYO that are definitely worth checking out. Plastician, Joker and Stinkhabell will be playing next Friday, followed by Jackmaster, Ben UFO and Oneman next Saturday; next weekend alone demonstrates the calibre of acts that are playing at this club. See the website for full club listings and information: http://xoyo.co.uk/listings
