Mclusky (often stylized as mclusky), originally known as Best, were a three-piece post-hardcore group formed in Cardiff, Wales. The group consisted of Englishman Andrew "Falco" Falkous (vocals, guitar) from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Jonathan Chapple (bass, vocals) and Jack Egglestone (drums), who replaced previous drummer Matthew Harding in late 2003.
According to the band, they originally formed in 1996 when Falkous and Harding met at the Blackwood Miners Institute, a venue in their home town from which they were both ejected for dressing as miners. The pair met Chapple a short time afterwards at the Reading Festival when they caught him urinating on their tent late in the night.
More realistically it has been suggested that Falkous and Harding met when working together at Anglian Windows, a small double-glazing call centre in Cardiff. They discussed their musical ambitions after a conversation about Reading Festival, Falkous gave Harding a tape of songs he had written on his own, and shortly after they formed a band called Best after early Beatles drummer Pete Best. The original bass player for Best was Geraint Bevan, Harding's old musical comrade from The Derelicts.

The Governors Ball Music Festival (commonly known as Governors Ball, Gov Ball or Gov Ball NYC) is a multi-day music festival held on Randall's Island in New York City. Launched in 2011, the festival features an array of genres and styles of music, including rock, electronic, hip-hop, indie, americana, pop, folk, and more. It is produced by Founders Entertainment, an independent festival promotion company based in New York City. Aside from the wide variety of music, the festival features a multitude of popular NYC restaurants and food trucks, as well as a slew of activities, such as a Silent Disco, ping pong, photo booths, and lawn games.
Governors Ball 2011 was the inaugural year of the festival and was held on June 18, 2011, on Governors Island in New York City. The one-day lineup featured Girl Talk, Pretty Lights, Empire of the Sun, Big Boi, Neon Indian, People Under The Stairs, Mac Miller, Das Racist, Passion Pit (DJ set), Miami Horror, Outasight, and Reptar. Governors Ball 2011 amassed the highest attendance of any event in the history of Governors Island, outselling Dave Matthews Band Caravan, and Bassnectar's Bass Island in 2011. Reviews for the 2011 festival were positive, with Flavorwire saying, "As many area festival attempts often fall flat due to poor execution, the Governors Ball was a pleasant exception to the rule, leaving us looking forward to its return next year," and Gothamist saying, "A gorgeous day at Governors Island...everyone seemed to leave sunburned and happy."

The CORRECTIONS HOUSE militia — Mike IX Williams (Eyehategod), Scott Kelly (Neurosis), Bruce Lamont (Yakuza), Sanford Parker (Minsk) and their minister of propaganda, Seward Fairbury — are pleased to unveil the brand new video for "Bullets And Graves." Directed by Brian Sowell, "Bullets And Graves" comes by way of the band's Last City Zero debut, released late last month via Neurot Recordings, and is an unapologetically violent, roadside nightmare marred by shady characters, nihilistic beatdowns and paths unknown. Shot completely in black and white, the production is as intriguing as it is unsettling. Produced by Parker at Electrical Audio, Soma Studios, 60 Psycho Hum and Nodferatu's Lair, Last City Zero offers up eight psychologically alarming hymns that span well beyond the traditional ...
