Universe

The Universe is all of time and space and its contents. The Universe includes planets, stars, galaxies, the contents of intergalactic space, the smallest subatomic particles, and all matter and energy. The observable universe is about 28 billion parsecs (91 billion light-years) in diameter at the present time. The size of the whole Universe is not known and may be either finite or infinite. Observations and the development of physical theories have led to inferences about the composition and evolution of the Universe.

Across the Universe

"Across the Universe" is a song recorded by the Beatles. It was written by John Lennon, and credited to Lennon–McCartney. The song first appeared on the various artists' charity compilation album No One's Gonna Change Our World in December 1969, and later, in different form, on Let It Be, the group's final released album.

Composition

One night in 1967, the phrase "words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup" came to Lennon after hearing his then-wife Cynthia, according to Lennon, "going on and on about something". Later, after "she'd gone to sleep – and I kept hearing these words over and over, flowing like an endless stream", Lennon went downstairs and turned it into a song. He began to write the rest of the lyrics and when he was done, he went to bed and forgot about them.

The flavour of the song was heavily influenced by Lennon's and the Beatles' interest in Transcendental Meditation in late 1967 – early 1968, when the song was composed. Based on this he added the mantra "Jai guru deva om" (Sanskrit: जय गुरुदेव ॐ) to the piece, which became the link to the chorus. The Sanskrit phrase is a sentence fragment whose words could have many meanings. Literally it approximates as "glory to the shining remover of darkness", and can be paraphrased as "Victory to God divine", "Hail to the divine guru", or the phrase commonly invoked by the late Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in referring to his spiritual teacher "All glory to Guru Dev".

Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network is an American basic cable and satellite television channel that is owned by the Turner Broadcasting System division of Time Warner. The channel airs primarily animated programming, ranging from action to animated comedy. It was founded by Betty Cohen and launched on October 1, 1992.

It is primarily aimed at children and teenagers between the ages of 7–16, and also targets older teens and adults with mature content during its late night daypart Adult Swim, which is treated as a separate entity for promotional purposes and as a separate channel by Nielsen for ratings purposes. A Spanish language audio track for select programs is accessible via SAP; some cable and satellite companies offer the Spanish feed as a separate channel.

As of February 2015, Cartoon Network is available to approximately 96.4 million pay television households (82.8% of households with television) in the United States.

History

Development

On August 4, 1986, Ted Turner's Turner Broadcasting System acquired Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer/United Artists from Kirk Kerkorian; due to concerns over the debt load of his companies, on October 17, 1986, Turner was forced to sell MGM back to Kerkorian after approximately only 74 days of ownership. However, Turner kept much of MGM's film and television library made prior to May 1986 (as well as some of the United Artists library) and formed Turner Entertainment.

So if you guys are wondering exactly when to introduce the tongue in the whole kissing scenario, here's my advice: when lips meet lips, count to four, so one, two, three, four, then open your mouth and count to another like one, two, three, four, and then move the tongue. So it's a bunch of four counts. If you guys are dancers and you know how that works, sort of have in your head, it doesn't have to be right on beat. This isn't who wants to be America's Next dance, I don't know. But just sort of like count in your head so that you don't thrust your tongue into someone's mouth too soon. Do yourself a favor, don't count out loud. That is weird. No. You don't want to do like one, two, three, four. Because it's hard to kiss and count. Yeah. I tried it, so many times. So we're going to demonstrate and you're going to watch my fingers and you're going to see the actual counts of when this happens, and this is just is just a rough guide for you guys. See, that took quite a few four counts before we were like in frenchy territory. Yeah, it's not about getting in there quickly. It's about slowly... It's about the journey. ... slow... It's about the journey.

Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns and Greg Berlanti created the series, which sees Brenton Thwaites star as Dick Grayson, the leader of the Titans, alongside Anna Diop and Teagan Croft as Starfire and Raven, respectively. A live-action series based on the Teen Titans entered development in September 2014 for the cable channel TNT, with Goldsman and Marc Haimes writing the pilot. The pilot had been ordered by December 2014, but never came to fruition, with TNT announcing in January 2016 it would no longer be moving forward with the project. As anyone who follows the Titans knows, though, they’ve got a pretty fluid roster of heroes that changes constantly. Today’s news has us wondering: which Titans are we going to see? Here’s what we know so far: the series is being executive produced by DC CW producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter—a fact that may very well affect the casting of the show as it moves into production. It’s unclear if and how the new Titans series will interconnect with the DC elements of the CW, but if it does, it would mean that a number of younger heroes like The Flash’s Kid Flash and Arrow’s Speedy could make plausible moves to the new team. On the other hand, though, if Titans were its entirely own thing like Gotham, the show would be freer to have its own, new version of young heroes that have already appeared on-screen—which in turn would give it more freedom to tell its own stories. There’s a real benefit in giving it its own continuity that dosn’t beholden to the CW properties. Deadline announced today that actress Teagan Croft will be embodying the emotionally challenged young hero in her first live action appearance. Croft’s Raven is described as the daughter of a demon, and is a powerful empath who must keep her emotions in check or risk unleashing her demonic side. Raven is the first casting announcement made for the eagerly anticipated Titans television series.
