The Naqvi sadah (Arabic: السادة النقاويين) are people with the last name "Naqvi" and who are direct descendants of the Islamic prophet Muhammad through the lineage of the Imam Ali al-Naqi. Ali Naqi was the 10th Twelver Shi'a imam and direct descendant of the daughter of Muhammad, Fatimah and her husband Ali, the first Shi'a imam, believed by them to be the successor of the Muhammad. Some Naqvis trace their ancestry back to Ali al-Naqi through his son Ja'far al-Sani, while others trace it through his other son, Husain ul Asghar.
The descendants of Ali al-Naqi are primarily found in Pakistan but are spread across the globe.
The difference of opinion with regard to number of sons of Imam Ali Al-Naqi is acceptable but not confirmed. The statement of 7 sons has been made by Moulvi Syed Basheer Hussain compiler of book "Shajrat-e-Saddat-e-Amroha" who describes son names:
Karan Thapar is an Indian journalist and a television commentator and interviewer. He was associated with CNN-IBN and hosted The Devil's Advocate and The Last Word. He is currently associated with Headlines Today and hosts the shows To the Point and Nothing But The Truth.
Karan Thapar is the youngest child of former Chief of the Army Staff General Pran Nath Thapar and Bimla Thapar. Historian Romila Thapar is his cousin.
He is an alumnus of The Doon School and the Stowe School. While at Doon, Thapar was the Editor-in-chief of The Doon School Weekly. He graduated with a degree in Economics and Political Philosophy from Pembroke College, Cambridge in 1977. In the same year, he was also President of the Cambridge Union. He subsequently obtained a doctorate in International Relations from St Antony's College, Oxford.
He began his career in journalism with The Times in Lagos, Nigeria and later worked as their Lead Writer on the Indian subcontinent till 1981. In 1982 he joined London Weekend Television where he worked for the next 11 years. He then moved to India where he worked with The Hindustan Times Television Group, Home TV and United Television before setting up his own production house in August 2001, Infotainment Television, which makes programmes for amongst others BBC, Doordarshan and Channel News Asia.

Plot: Momil Kamil Kasaab takes over a boat in the Indian Ocean, slays the owner, and he, along with 7 heavily armed men, land on a beach in Mumbai, India. They subsequently form groups of two, and launch terrorist attacks on an unsuspecting city and its' residents. The first explosion takes place in a taxi-cab that was on its way to the airport, followed closely by numerous people getting killed in the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminal, as well as in Colaba, and two restaurants. Police, unprepared and taken by surprise, swing into action, and manage to arrest Kasaab, while numerous officers are killed trying to subdue his associates. The investigating officer starts to question an uncooperative and unrepentant suspect - who refuses to divulge any information - and believes that he is on a mission of Jihaad - while the victims and their families, many of them of the Muslim faith, attempt to deal with their respective losses.

Plot: Nasik-based Heerendra Dhaan and Raj Ranade are bodyguards of a politician, but after their employer is implicated in a scam, they end up assaulting a police officer and flee to Mumbai. Once there they meet with Rambhabhai, who in turn, gets them employed with a gangster named Shambhu. After a short while the duo are apprehended by Police Inspector Narsimha, questioned, and after they agree to cooperate to bring down Shambhu, are let go. The two do succeed in assisting the police arrest Shambhu, but they themselves are arrested, tried in Court, and sentenced to a year in jail. After their discharge they are met with Inspector Narsimha, who wants to recruit them to capture and kill dreaded bandit Babban Singh, who had slaughtered his wife, Kavita, and son, Subbu, as well as cut his arms off. Heerendra and Raj agree to carry out this task for 8 Lakh Rupees. They re-locate to Kaliganj where Heerendra falls in love with auto-rickshaw driver, Ghungroo, while Raj gives his heart to Subbu's widow, Durga. They then set about their task to capture Babban, and do meet with some success during Diwali, but Babban manages to escape. Babban then starts to ambush and kill Kaliganj residents one by one in order to compel them to surrender the duo to him. The question remains will the residents carry out Babban's wishes or will they permit themselves to be slaughtered?
