Plot: Finding Talib is the first of a series of comedic, ten minute shorts that explore the origins of religious extremism in a Western, middle-class man. Talib is a twenty-two-year-old, Caucasian man. As a baby he was adopted by parents who immigrated to Canada from Pakistan. Moderate Muslims, Talib's parents have become worried that their adopted son's beliefs are becoming too extreme and ask him to explore his past, hoping he will find new perspectives on religion and life. With his adopted brother Sid at his side, Talib sets off on a journey of self-discovery as he seeks out the family that gave him up for adoption and explores other faiths and lifestyles.

Plot: Owen is a struggling actor. He stubbornly and incorrectly uses the method style of acting and insists that he cannot break character. While researching for an audition for the role of Freddy Krueger in an upcoming remake of "A Nightmare On Elm Street" at a local diner his friend, Sid, coincidentally shows up to the same diner. Sid does nothing to encourage Owen in his career and only belittles him for being a horrible actor. While in the midst of "being mean" to people in the restaurant, like Freddy would, Owen and Sid's table is served by Jules. Owen taken an immediate liking to her and Sid knows it right away. Owen wants to make a move on her, but refuses to break character. He tries to ask her out as Freddy, but does not succeed. Sid does all he can to help Owen, but ends up making things worse.

Plot: A beach movie. A scroll is stolen from an art gallery and taken to Catalina Island, where the thieves plan to use it to swindle Lakopolous, a Greek art collector. They plan to show him the real scroll, then deliver a fake. Lakopolous, however, turns out not to be rock-stupid, and tries to steal the scroll himself. Meanwhile, the thieves' son figures out what his folks are up to and cooks up an improbable scheme that will allow him to steal the scroll back and return it. During this, the whole troupe are under surveillance from a mysterious guy who keeps pulling prat falls. All of which is *completely incidental* to the story of the love interest between Don and Katrina, the blonde guy who always has women flocking to him for no perceptible reason, and the "spontaneous" music and dance numbers.
