UNDP was established 50 years ago in 1965 and has had a presence in Sierra Leone since 1977. We have been working in partnership with the Government of Sierra Leone, development partners, UN agencies, civil society and local communities, contributing to democratic governance, peace and sustainable developemnt. A valued, trusted and reliable development partner, UNDP’s work focuses on initiatives that support the consolidation of peace and help facilitate the transition to long-term development within the framework of the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the country’s development agenda - The Agenda for Prosperity.
