Oyster restoration a priority for Santa Rosa County (Santa Rosa County, FL)

From September 24 through October 2, approximately 20,103 cubic yards of lime rock aggregate were deposited onto 17 oyster reefs in need of restoration. A total of 88 acres were planted in the Pensacola Bay System in Santa Rosa and Escambia counties with the objective of promoting reef development for oysters by restoring existing oyster reef habitat that had been degraded, depleted, or reached its productive life span....
