Neil John Downie Kennedy, Lord Kennedy KC (1854 – 12 February 1918) was a Scottish advocate, legal academic and judge. He was a Professor of Law at the University of Aberdeen, and served from 1912 to 1918 as the first Chairman of the Scottish Land Court.
Kennedy was born in 1854 at Rosehall in Sutherland, where his father John Kennedy was a minister of the Free Church of Scotland. He was educated at Inverness and then at the University of Aberdeen, where he was awarded an MA in 1876. He later received an Ll.D from the University of Edinburgh, in 1903.
He was called to the Scottish Bar in 1874 or 1877, and in 1898 he was appointed as lecturer on private international law at the University of Edinburgh. From 1901 to 1907 he was Professor of Civil and Scots Law at the University of Aberdeen.
His interest in the plight of crofters led him to be the Liberal Party candidate for Inverness-shire at the 1895 general election. He achieved a swing of 4.8% from the Conservatives, but fell 100 votes short of defeating the sitting Conservative MP James Evan Bruce Baillie.

Lisa Kennedy Montgomery (stage name Kennedy; born September 8, 1972) is an American political satirist, radio personality, former MTV VJ, and current host of Kennedy on the Fox Business Network. She was the host of MTV's now-defunct daily late-night alternative rock program Alternative Nation throughout much of the 1990s.
Montgomery was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and raised in Lake Oswego, Oregon, an affluent suburb outside of Portland. Montgomery attended but did not graduate from Lakeridge High School in 1990. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from UCLA.
Montgomery first came into the public eye in 1991 as an intern at Los Angeles radio station KROQ-FM, where she was known on the air as "The Virgin Kennedy." A year later she took the "VJ" job at MTV, where she spent several years.
As "Kennedy", Montgomery ushered in a new musical era for MTV as the host of Alternative Nation from 1992–1997, helping popularize bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam.
Kennedy is a five-hour miniseries written by Reg Gadney and directed by Jim Goddard. The TV miniseries was a biography of the 1961-1963 presidency of John F. Kennedy. The miniseries was produced by Central Independent Television and originally aired in the United States starting on 20 November 1983 around the time of the 20th anniversary of Kennedy's assassination.
The mini-series stars Martin Sheen as President John F. Kennedy, John Shea as Robert F. Kennedy, Blair Brown as Jacqueline Kennedy, E. G. Marshall as Joseph P. Kennedy, Vincent Gardenia as J. Edgar Hoover and Kelsey Grammer as Stephen Smith amongst many others.
The series was broadcast on NBC, and was also sold to 50 Countries, with 27 of them broadcasting the series simultaneous. The series was nominated for 3 Golden Globes and 4 BAFTA, and won Baftas for Best Drama Series and Best Make Up.
