I have filmed the Aston Martin Vulcan in action around the circuit of Misano during the Ultracar Sports Club track event. The Vulcan is powered by a 7.0L V12 N/A that produces 800hp and basicly is a track-toy limited to just 24 units with a price tag of $2.3m.

A few years in the making, this one of a kind V12 LS1 engine has been pieced together by the Corish brothers at V12LS.com. In essence it’s two GM V8 LS1 alloy blocks and cylinder heads shortened and grafted together using a custom billet crank and camshaft. The beauty of the build is that engine still retains many GM parts. This prototype engine will be heading to the US soon for testing. The good new is the guys plan on making these engines available for sale next year.
We were lucky enough to witness it on the dyno at Dandy Engines where we were surprised at how smooth and easy the engine delivered both power and torque on regular unleaded petrol.

The V12 engine is one of the smoothest running engines that exists. It's two inline six cylinders matched to a common crankshaft, so it's inherently balanced at any V orientation. Also, because it has more cylinders than an I6, the power strokes overlap more and thus power delivery is smoother. The V12 engine has been used in many exotic brands, such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Pagani.

V12 engine
A V12 engine is a V engine with 12 cylinders mounted on the crankcase in two banks of six cylinders each, usually but not always at a 60° angle to each other, with all 12 pistons driving a common crankshaft. Since each cylinder bank is essentially a straight-six which is by itself in both primary and secondary balance, a V12 is automatically in primary and secondary balance no matter which V angle is used, and therefore it needs no balance shafts. A four-stroke 12 cylinder engine has an even firing order if cylinders fire every 60° of crankshaft rotation, so a V12 with cylinder banks at a multiples of 60° (60°, 120°, or 180°) will have even firing intervals without using split crankpins. By using split crankpins or ignoring minor vibrations, any V angle is possible. The 180° configuration is usually referred to as a "flat-twelve engine" or a "boxer" although it is in reality a 180° V since the pistons can and normally do use shared crankpins.

A few years in the making, this one of a kind V12 LS1 engine has been pieced together by the Corish brothers at V12LS.com. In essence it’s two GM V8 LS1 alloy blocks and cylinder heads shortened and grafted together using a custom billet crank and camshaft. The beauty of the build is that engine still retains many GM parts. This prototype engine will be heading to the US soon for testing. The good new is the guys plan on making these engines available for sale next year.
We were lucky enough to witness it on the dyno at Dandy Engines where we were surprised at how smooth and easy the engine delivered both power and torque on regular unleaded petrol.

Got the Mercedes S600 and it has been sitting for a little while, but with a fresh battery it starts right up and it does not seem to run right and lights aren't working. I check the fuses, lights work now, but it has a fuel leak. Guess I;'m not going to get to drive this one around just yet. V12 Cold Start up Video Tips Mercedes S600 W140 Engine ~ New Lot Tour http://www.1ownercarguy.com Finally got all the cars to the new yard and it is time for a walkaround. Lots of cars that I am selling cheap. I brought a couple of batteries with me to start some cars up. Got the Mercedes S600 and it has been sitting for a little while, but with a fresh battery it starts right up and it does not seem to run right and lights aren't working. I check the fuses, lights work now, but it has a fuel leak. Guess I;'m not going to get to drive this one around just yet. This is a GREAT Car and I cant wait to do it to it..;-) I love these old W140 and W126 Mercedes Benz Cars. Lots of these are going to be going for cheap prices, give me a cal if you see one you want.
