Plot: Arvind lives a wealthy lifestyle in India along with his mom, dad, sister, Amritha, maternal grandma, an aunt, uncle, and cousin, Gautam. He has two very close friends, who he considers family, namely Chandrashekhar alias Chandru, the son of Judge Rajshekhar, and Krishnaprasad alias Krupa. Amritha and Chandru are in love with each other and are expected to get married soon. When a prank goes awry, the trio get into a dispute with Pratap Singh and his men, and must re-locate to Mussorie in order to avoid being arrested by the Police. It is here they work as apprentices with Krupa's brother-in-law, Bhawani Shankar, who gets a contract to paint and refurbish a palace in Pratapgarh. The crew attend there and this is where Arvind gets to meet Yuvrani Padmini. Circumstances force both of them to get married to each other, much to the chagrin of Chandru, who knows that Padmini does not love Arvind and is merely marrying him to avenge her family's humiliation and create a rift between the friends. Shortly after the marriage, Amritha's Saree is set aflame and Arvind is nearly killed in a bullock-cart race accident. Chandru blames Padmini and bitter acrimony results so much so that the past is re-visited and Arvind is blamed for killing Chandru's younger and mute brother, Chhotu. A confrontation ensues between Arvind and Chandru - and both men know that only one of them is fated to walk back home.

Plot: U.S.-based Leeza works in Dr. Perkins Medical Research Facility. Her mother, originally from India, was single when she arrived in America, and fell in with a Caucasian male as he looked like a movie star. Leeza, now engaged to a boy of her father's choice, namely U.S.-based Arvind, meets with Danny, a Caucasian who is blind since his premature birth. She is attracted to him, but is aware of her commitment to marry Arvind and feels it would be against the Hindu culture (where love is measured with loyalty, trust, respect, and commitment) to break off her engagement - especially when it seems that Danny may be able to see, reject her, and get involved with a much more attractive female Caucasian.

Plot: BUGABOO is a Silicon Valley film. It has been produced by people who live and work in Silicon Valley and who have prospered with the high-tech boom of the nineties. The Internet and the personal computer, while creating Silicon Valley, have also created armies of well-paid Indian professionals who lead a curious existence: as professionals they constitute the epicenter of America's recent growth binge, but as individuals they continue to stay inside cocooned, secure Indian communities which are quite divorced from all things American. A group of such engineers defies the even flow of this existence by introducing "random disturbances" into their lives. These deviations from normal routine punctuate the film until they finally lead to a "grand deviance," unthinkable for sober, law-abiding engineers from India.
