They might have been tucked away down an alley, hiding from prying eyes, but that didn't stop thousands of people turning out in the hopes of catching a glimpse of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston.
The second day of filming of Thor: Ragnarok in the Brisbane CBD saw the stars safely hidden away in Esk Lane with the crowds kept back on Mary and Albert streets, about 100 metres from where the scene was being shot.

Inside a Thor crush
Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston brave a crush of fans who have been waiting all day to see their idols following filming in Brisbane on Tuesday.
Large fences covered with black plastic prevented anyone from getting even the slightest glimpse of the scene which on-set sources confirmed was a major plot point in the film.
But those who braved the heat and boredom were rewarded with two walk-throughs from the film's stars.
First Hemsworth came out and made a short walk along the crowd, greeting a number of fans along the way including one young boy dressed as Captain America among those who got a photo with the star.
Later, both Hemsworth and co-star Hiddleston made their way out again to meet the fans, this time spending about 15 minutes signing autographs and posing for photos.
Hiddleston, who has spent a great deal of time in Queensland this year filming Kong: Skull Island earlier in the year before returning for Thor, said he loved filming here.
"I haven't seen anything but beautiful weather in Queensland," he said.
"I was here in January and February when we did Kong: Skull Island, I am yet to see rain."
Both stars were full of praise for the fans, some of whom had waited for nearly 10 hours to see the pair.
"Everyone has been so kind and welcoming," Hiddleston said.
"(I haven't had a reaction like this) on the street and certainly not in Brisbane, it's pretty amazing.
"Normally we play these characters in films, it's rare for characters to step off the screen and meet people – I think people think they are meeting Thor and Loki, which is hilarious."
For Hemsworth, the good behaviour of the crowd impressed him the most.
"It's been great, everyone's nice and quiet when were shooting." he said.
Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the films and Hiddleston, who plays his brother Loki, were joined on set on Tuesday by their on-screen father Sir Anthony Hopkins who plays Odin, but much to many fans' disappointment the 78-year-old didn't join his co-stars out meeting the fans.
Thor continues filming in the same spot on Wednesday and Thursday before returning to Village Roadshow studios next week.
The film's production crew will also use locations in the Gold Coast hinterland before the schedule moves into post-production ahead of a November 2017 release.
