Nearly 200 Palestinian couples were married in a ceremony funded by an Emirati governmental organisation, during a mass wedding ceremony in Gaza City on Saturday. IMAGES HERE: http://goo.gl/9kv18C
The event on is aimed at helping the underprivileged, war casualties and those whose houses were destroyed in the recent Israeli war on Gaza, state news agency Wam reported. The organising committee of the mass wedding said that each of the bridegrooms will receive US$4,000 to help them establish a new family.
“The celebration will see surprises and programmes that will make the Gazans happy because Gaza deserves more happiness, freedom and peace,” the committee said.
The event was organised under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
Sara Zohod, Bride: "This mass wedding made us really happy and gave hope for other young couples."
Islam Barakat, Bridegroom: "I never dreamed in my life of doing that. The guys in Gaza work hard to get married. Honestly, I had no job so I thought I wasn't able to take this step."

Harga Sayur Dan Buah Di Gaza Palestina Meningkat Menjelang Ramadhan
Menjelang datangnya bulan Ramadhan, sejumlah harga kebutuhan di pasar Palestina seperti sayur mayur dan buah buahan mengalami lonjakan signifikan.
Para penanggung jawab meyakini, lonjakan sayur mayur dan buah buahan menjelang datangnya bulan Ramadhan tidak lepas dari meningkatnya konsumsi dan aktivas pembelian oleh warga Gaza.
Sejumlah warga Gaza mengatakan, meningkatnya harga buah tidak terlalu merisaukan, karena sebagian warga miskin memang terbiasa tidak mampu membeli buah buahan.
Seorang wanita asal Selatan Jalur Gaza mengatakan, Ia tidak biasa membelikan buah untuk anak anaknya, Ia meminta pemerintah untuk memperhatikan dirinya dan anak anaknya di pasar.
Warga meminta pemerintah untuk memperketat pengawasannya di sejumlah pasar dan mencegah para pedagang dan petani dari aksi mengontrol harga sayur mayur, buah buahan dan lain lain.
Sementara itu, sejumlah aktivis menyeru untuk memerangi fenomena peningkatan harga dengan memangkas gaya konsumsi warga yang terhitung tinggi, terutama buah buahan dan sayur mayur.
Pimpinan aktivis mengatakan: "setiap tahunnya, harga terus melonjak tinggi, disertai permintaan pembelian dengan jumlah yang besar. hal tersebut terjadi karena pada dasarnya konsumen lah yang membuat harga harga tersebut melonjak, dan mereka jugalah yang mampu menurunkan harga, tergantung tinggi rendahnya permintaan mereka di pasar".
Para pakar ekonomi menegaskan, peningkatan harga tergantung peningkatan permintaan, akan tetapi mereka juga menegaskan, Taqwa kepada Allah dan pengawasan pemerintah memainkan peran positif dalam menjaga harga agar tetap normal selama Ramadhan, diantarannya buah buahan dan sayuran yang memang dibutuhkan oleh warga yang Shaum.

Gaza City
Gaza (/ˈɡɑːzə/;Arabic: غزة Ġazzah, IPA: [ˈɣazza]; Hebrew: עזה 'Azzah), also referred to as Gaza City, is a Palestinian city in the Gaza Strip, with a population of 515,556, making it the largest city in the State of Palestine. Inhabited since at least the 15th century BC, Gaza has been dominated by several different peoples and empires throughout its history. The Philistines made it a part of their pentapolis after the Ancient Egyptians had ruled it for nearly 350 years.
Under the Romans and later the Byzantines, Gaza experienced relative peace and its port flourished. In 635 AD, it became the first city in Palestine to be conquered by the Rashidun army and quickly developed into a center of Islamic law. However, by the time the Crusaders invaded the city in the late 11th century, it was in ruins. In later centuries, Gaza experienced several hardships—from Mongol raids to floods and locusts, reducing it to a village by the 16th century, when it was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire. During the first half of Ottoman rule, the Ridwan dynasty controlled Gaza and under them the city went through an age of great commerce and peace. The municipality of Gaza was established in 1893.

The event on is aimed at helping the underprivileged, war casualties and those whose houses were destroyed in the recent Israeli war on Gaza, state news agency Wam reported. The organising committee of the mass wedding said that each of the bridegrooms will receive US$4,000 to help them establish a new family.
“The celebration will see surprises and programmes that will make the Gazans happy because Gaza deserves more happiness, freedom and peace,” the committee said.
The event was organised under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

Para penanggung jawab meyakini, lonjakan sayur mayur dan buah buahan menjelang datangnya bulan Ramadhan tidak lepas dari meningkatnya konsumsi dan aktivas pembelian oleh warga Gaza.
Sejumlah warga Gaza mengatakan, meningkatnya harga buah tidak terlalu merisaukan, karena sebagian warga miskin memang terbiasa tidak mampu membeli buah buahan.
Seorang wanita asal Selatan Jalur Gaza mengatakan, Ia tidak biasa membelikan buah untuk anak anaknya, Ia meminta pemerintah untuk memperhatikan dirinya dan anak anaknya di pasar.
Warga meminta pemerintah untuk memperketat pengawasannya di sejumlah pasar dan mencegah para pedagang dan petani dari aksi mengontrol harga sayur mayur, buah buahan dan lain lain.
Sementara itu, sejumlah aktivis menyeru untuk memerangi fenomena peningkatan harga dengan memangkas gaya konsumsi warga yang terhitung tinggi, terutama buah buahan dan sayur mayur.
Pimpinan aktivis mengatakan: "setiap tahunnya, harga terus melonjak tinggi, disertai permintaan pembelian dengan jumlah yang besar. hal tersebut terjadi karena pada dasarnya konsumen lah yang membuat harga harga tersebut melonjak, dan mereka jugalah yang mampu menurunkan harga, tergantung tinggi rendahnya permintaan mereka di pasar".
Para pakar ekonomi menegaskan, peningkatan harga tergantung peningkatan permintaan, akan tetapi mereka juga menegaskan, Taqwa kepada Allah dan pengawasan pemerintah memainkan peran positif dalam menjaga harga agar tetap normal selama Ramadhan, diantarannya buah buahan dan sayuran yang memang dibutuhkan oleh warga yang Shaum.

Hamas Bars Gaza Youths Bereaved in War From Visiting Israel
Hamas authorities in the Gaza Strip prevented on Sunday a group of Palestinian children who lost parents in the July-August war with Israel from making a rare goodwill visit to the Jewish state, organizers of the trip said. Gaza's Hamas-controlled Interior Ministry, citing the children's "suspicious" itinerary, confirmed they were barred from crossing the border. In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this "calling" in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, "glide" over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and "see" the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

While staying with her first host family, Farah is being examined by a plastic surgeon, a difficult process for a child surrounded by unfamiliar faces.
A month later she is taken in by a new family - the Jubrans.
Former nurse, Amal Jubran, is a Lebanese Christian, born in Haifa. Throughout her nine-month ordeal, the whole Jubran family becomes very attached to Farah as she makes great strides in both her recovery and development as a child.
When she returns to her family in Gaza, Amal finds it hard to move on; but almost three later, she seizes the opportunity to visit Farah - only to have her worst fears realised. Farah has readjusted to life in Gaza with her new stepmother and extended family and doesn't appear to remember Amal or her time in California at all.
Amal is also not satisfied with the follow-up care or general lifestyle Farah is being afforded back in her home town.

Hamas authorities in the Gaza Strip prevented on Sunday a group of Palestinian children who lost parents in the July-August war with Israel from making a rare goodwill visit to the Jewish state, organizers of the trip said. Gaza's Hamas-controlled Interior Ministry, citing the children's "suspicious" itinerary, confirmed they were barred from crossing the border. Israeli peace activists said they had secured permission from the military to admit the 37 children and five accompanying adults for a week-long tour of Israel and the occupied West Bank, seat of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's government.

Kami tetap bersyukur atas karunia Allah SWT hingga kini hasil pertanian sulit di eskpor akan tetapi dengan hasil bumi berkah lah kami masih dapat bertahah hidup, masih mendapatkan makanan dari hasil jual buah Anggur, ya sekedar bertahan hidup saja.
Jalur Gaza – Suarapalestina – Sejak dilahirkan kami sudah berada di tanah ini, mulai dari kakek buyut dan kaket buyut secara turun temurun sudah memiliki tanah disini, sebelum kedatangan penjajah baik di Tepi Barat maupun kehadiran mereka di Jalur Gaza, Ungkap Abu Mahmud.
Abu Mahmud bersama lima saudara kandungnya(Abu Muhammad, Abu Osama ,Abu Ahmad, Abu Mujahid ) kini melanjutkan warisan ibu bapak mereka berupa lahan yang di tanami buah Anggur, Buah Tin, Buah Zaitun diatas lahan seluas 1 Hektar terletak di pinggiran kota Gaza tepatnya di daerah Syeikh Ezlen, 2 Km dari perairan Gaza City.
Tim Reporter Kantor Berita Suara Palestina di Gaza City diberi kesempatan untuk bersilaturahim sekaligus melakukan interview singkat, dilanjutkan dengan aksi liputan lapangan saat petani Anggur Gaza sedang melakukan panen diperkebunan padang pasir luas, tersebar ribuan pohon jenis Anggur baik Anggur Merah maupun Anggur Kuning.
Tiga bulan sebelumnya Abu Mahmud dan saudaranya sudah harus melakukan persiapan ekstra seperti perawatan, pembersihan daun dan pemotongan ranting kering dari masing-masing pohon Anggur, saat muncul mekar dan mayang dari masing-masing batang Anggur proses pemupukan dan perawatan kian di perketat untuk mengatasi ramba hama dimana nantinya menyerang mekar Anggur.
Sebenarnya merawat pohon Anggur tidak sesulit merawat pohon lainnya, karena khususnya di Palestina pohon Anggur bebas tumbuh, hingga ke padang pasir karena dalam satu bulan kami melakukan penyiraman hanya 2 hingga 3 kali saja, kata Abu Mahmud.
Dulu zaman Almarhum bapak saya sebelum tahun 1987, hasil panen Anggur melanglang keseluruh negara bahkan hingga ke Negara Benua Eropa, Yunani, Jordan, Mesir dan pasca pecah Intifadha (Perlawanan) pertama dimana terjadi perlawanan besar besaran dilakukan oleh rakyat Palestina, penyebab utamanya militer Israel melindas warga sipil Jalur Gaza asal Jabalia mengakibatkan 4 gugur serta melukai belasan orang lainnya, maka terjadilah perlawanan rakyat Palestina dengan menggunakan Batu.
Berimbas hingga saat ini semua hasil panen petani Jalur Gaza termasuk buah Anggur, jangankan ekspor ke negara Jordan, ke sesame wilayah Palestina pun sangat mustahil, salah satu contoh dari Gaza dikirim ke Tepi Barat sangat sulit dan mustahil, ini akibat dari blokade dan penjajahan yang melanda kami.
Kami tetap bersyukur atas karunia Allah SWT hingga kini hasil pertanian sulit di eskpor akan tetapi dengan hasil bumi berkah lah kami masih dapat bertahah hidup, masih mendapatkan makanan dari hasil jual buah Anggur, ya sekedar bertahan hidup saja.
Hasil pertanian tidak dapat kami manfaatkan untuk sekolah anak anak kami hingga ke perguruan tinggi, karena kita tahu sendiri harga Buah Anggur benar benar jatuh, tidak ada solusi lain terpaksa kami jual ke pasara regional seperti di pasar Gaza City, pasar Gaza selatan dank e pasar wilayah Gaza lainnya.
Harga buah Anggur benar-benar jatuh, buah Anggur Merah di pasar local dihargai jika di rupiahkan seharga Rp. 20,000, sedangkan Anggur kuning Rp. 16,000,-.
Biaya yang kami keluarkan untuk perawatan Buah Anggur dari awal hingga hari pertama panen jika di rupiahkan berkisar Rp. 90,000,000 – Tidak sebanding dengan keuntungan yang kami peroleh, ya antum paham lah kondisi Palestina masih di Jajah, tanah kami masi di rampas bahkan perkebunan kami ini pernah di gusur di bakar oleh militer Yahudi, kami tanam kembali, mereka gusur, kami tanam kembali dan mereka gusur, Gaza pun masih di blokade, harapan kami sebagai petani Gaza menghimbau kepada asosiasi petani di seluruh Dunia, mari kita suarakan bergandegnan tangan membahas nasib para pentane diseluruh dunia khususnya petani Jalur Gaza, Harap Abu Mahmud petani asal Jalur Gaza.

They call it ‘the world’s biggest prison’. Nearly two million people live on a small strip of land, about the same size as Manhattan. Very few people get in or out of the Gaza strip. We finally got a rare glimpse of the embattled Gaza Strip and a chance to see what life was like under the rule of Hamas. In 2007 we tried and failed to get into Gaza through the Israeli-controlled Erez Crossing. Back then the rival Palestinian factions of Hamas and Fatah were engaged in a bloody war for control of this tiny strip of land. Hamas won. When the post-Mubarak government of Egypt decided to start letting small numbers of folks into Gaza through their Rafah Crossing, we knew we could finally enter the region. After the Gaza strip was heavily bombed in 2014, all that remained in many areas were ruins, which became a training ground for young free runners. The sport, also known as parkour, is particularly dangerous in debris strewn Gaza, but the young men say that, as Palestinians, they’ve become accustomed to danger. After the 2014 bombardment of the Gaza Strip, much of the region was left in ruins. Most residents try hard to maintain a sense of normality amid the rubble but for some young men the new landscape provides a rich training ground for the extreme sport known as free running or parkour. They scale fragile, partially destroyed walls, jump floor to floor and between bombed out buildings. Every step puts their lives at risk. During the devastating 50-day war in Israel and Gaza this past summer, around 18,000 homes in Gaza were destroyed or severely damaged, leaving around 120,000 residents homeless. Now, with trouble in neighboring Sinai and infighting between Palestinian factions, reconstruction efforts in the beleaguered Gaza Strip are moving slowly. With the UN warning of a growing humanitarian crisis for the people of Gaza, many fear that another armed conflict is imminent. The threat of death for Israeli Jews and Muslim Palestinians is worse than ever. Whilst international media was refused entry into Gaza last month, local, Rayeed Al Atamna, shows us the hidden reality.
In 2006 an Israeli tank destroyed Rayeed's home and killed ten of his family. He and his family fled to Tel el-Hawa. "I didn't expect Israeli tanks would reach it. But sadly they did and once again they had to run. We carried our children and walked carrying a white flag. Our lives were in grave danger. Luckily the family was safe this time but their home was not. I'm walking on my ruined house, I dont recognise it."

After the 2014 bombardment of the Gaza Strip, much of the region was left in ruins. They scale fragile, partially destroyed walls, jump floor to floor and between bombed out buildings. Every step puts their lives at risk. Two teams, Gaza Parkour from the South and 3Run Gaza from the North are sworn rivals. They reluctantly agree to a competition and prepare for it in the usual way; running, jumping and climbing the ruins of what was once a residential area. The teams do however have safer places to practice too. They go to gyms to learn new elements and attract rookie members who are just starting in the sport.
Fanatical about free running, the young men practice whenever they can; be it in a local cemetery or even in their small bedrooms. To them it’s more than just a sport, it’s a lifestyle, something that gives them a purpose in the bleak living conditions of a devastated region. Even as the city was being bombed, Gaza Parkour’s members continued to practice. Their video went viral, drawing attention to the drastic situation in Gaza. This is an important part of their parkour too, spreading the word about what it’s really like to live in Gaza.
