A low pressure trough is generating areas of rain and storms over QLD and northern and eastern NSW. A cold front is generating gusty cold showers and over southern WA. A trough enhanced by upper cold air is producing isolated showers and the odd storm over SA, VIC and TAS.

Funnel clouds spotted over Victoria no cause for alarm, weather bureau says

A funnel cloud has been spotted over Eynesbury, west of Melbourne, but the weather bureau says they do not touch the ground like a tornado and are usually not destructive.
