Jeedar (Punjabi: جی دار) is a 1981 Pakistani action film.

Directed by Kaifee,also known as simply Kaifi and produced by Amina Fyaz. The film starring Sultan Rahi, Anjuman, Mustafa Qureshi, Adeeb.

Jeedar was a Superhit film released on (Eid-ul-Azha )1401 hijri( on Friday, October 9, 1981) It celebrated solo Silver Jubilee in Multan and Rawalpindi cities of Pakistan.

Mustafa Qureshi (Urdu: مصطفی قریشی, Sindhi: is an film and television actor from Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan.

Mustafa Qureshi was born in Hyderabad, Pakistan on 11 May 1940 before the independence of Pakistan in 1947. He gained popularity from Punjabi films. His iconic role as the villain Noori Nat in the movie Moula Jat became a trademark and he went on to adapt similar roles for many years to come. He did regret being typecast as he wished to show his versatility in acting. He has acted in more than 500 movies, in Urdu, Punjabi & sindhi languages.

Naseem Begum (1936–1971) was a popular, and well known PakistanI film playback singer. She rose to prominence towards the end of the 1950s, and by 1964, she had managed to win the prestigious Nigar award on five separate occasions. Despite originally being billed as a 'second Noor Jehan', Naseem Begum quickly managed to carve out her own successful niche in the music industry.

She had the calibre to sing film songs based on semi- classical compositions and ragas, which indeed is a difficult task.

Early life

Naseem Begum was born in the city of Amritsar, British India, in 1936. She acquired her musical training from the classical singer Mukhtar Begum, the elder sister of the renowned ghazal vocalist Farida Khanum. Her first film, as a playback singer, was music director Ghulam Ahmed Chishti composed Guddi Gudda in 1956.In 1958, the composer Sheharyar was greatly impressed by her vocal range, and gave her the opportunity to perform in his film Begunah (1958). Naseem Begum immediately tasted success with her song Nainon mein jal bhar aayey, which became one of the most popular tracks of the 1950s. She gained popularity after singing memorable duets with famous playback singer Ahmed Rushdi.

Sultan Rahi

Muhammad Sultan Khan, known as Sultan Rahi (Punjabi and Urdu: سلطان راہی‎), was a Pakistani Punjabi actor.

Some of his films include Maula Jatt, Sher Khan, Chan Veryam, Kaley Chore, and The Godfather, Basheeraa and Wehsi Gujjar. He established himself as one of the leading and most successful actors of Pakistani and Punjabi cinema.

He was shot and killed in 1996.

Life and career

Rahi was born to a Punjabi family settled in Muzaffar Nagar, Bijnore District, Utter Pradesh, India, during the British Raj. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947 he moved to Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan.

Rahi performed in the stage drama Nadir Shah Durrani in 1955.

He begin his film career in 1959 as a guest actor in the film Baghi. Maula Jatt was released on 11 February 1979 which became his most successful Pakistani film. His other works include Behram Daku (1980), Sher Khan (1981), Sala Sahib and Ghulami (1985).

Rahi appeared in key roles in over 535 films. He worked most often with directors Masood Rana and Younas Malik.
