Court Watching: Detroit man charged with seven felonies after break-in on San Carlos

Officers from Belleville with assistance from Van Buren Township police responded and quickly set up a perimeter in the area. The victim homeowner provided a good description, said Belleville Police Chief Dave Robinson. A request for assistance for a K-9 was made and a K-9 officer from the Canton Township police department responded.

Two hospitalized in Royal Oak Township fire at townhome complex

Ferndale and Oakland County Sheriff fire officials are investigating a blaze that broke out Wednesday morning at a townhouse complex in Royal Oak Township, injuring two people. The township contracts with Ferndale for fire services. Ferndale Fire Chief Teresa Robinson said the fire appears to be accidental.

Two hurt in dump truck, pickup truck crash on M-45

Two people were injured in a crash involving a dump truck and a pickup truck Monday morning on Lake Michigan Drive (M-45) at 144th Avenue, at the border of Robinson Township and Grand Haven Township. The occupants of the pickup truck – a man and a woman, both 65, of Waddell, Arizona – suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, police said.

The decision concerns William Drummond’s plans to revive the dormant gun range and operate the Greater Pittsburgh Gun Club on a 265-acre property in suburban Robinson Township. The three-judge panel unanimously ruled that the township’s attempt to restrict what occurs on the property could violate the constitutional right to keep and bear arms.
