Alexandra Rose "Aly" Raisman (born May 25, 1994) is an American artistic gymnast. She was the captain of the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team, dubbed the Fierce Five by the media, at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where she won gold medals in the team and floor competitions, as well as a bronze medal on the balance beam making her the most decorated American gymnast at the London Games. She was also a member of the gold-winning American team at the 2011 and the 2015 World Championships.
In 2013, she appeared on Dancing with the Stars where she finished fourth.
Raisman was born on May 25, 1994, in Needham, Massachusetts to Lynn (née Faber) and Rick Raisman. Raisman is Jewish. Her mother is a former high school gymnast. She has three younger siblings, Brett, Chloe, and Madison.
Raisman began gymnastics at a very young age. She said, "I got involved when I was two years old when my mom put me in Mommy and Me classes, I always had a lot of energy so it was the perfect fit! I have always loved it ever since!" Raisman trained at Exxcel Gymnastics and Climbing through Level 8, when she moved to Brestyan's American Gymnastics Club under coaches Mihai and Silvia Brestyan. She trained alongside Alicia Sacramone, of whom Raisman said, "She's kind of like my older sister. I can ask her about anything because I know that she's been through it all. She knows what it takes to get there, so watching her work so hard in the gym everyday is really helpful. I love watching her because she's such a beautiful gymnast, she's so powerful, and has the whole package." Raisman attributes her first love for gymnastics as the gold-medal winning U.S. women's team at the 1996 Summer Olympics, colloquially known as the Magnificent Seven. She insists that she used to watch their performances on a VHS tape and was 'obsessed' with it.

Two US swimmers have finally been cleared to fly home from Rio, after a dramatic turn of events that saw them hauled off one flight as police investigated claims that they were victims of an armed robbery. Ryan Lochte, one of four US swimmers involved in the incident, claimed a gun was pointed at his head and money stolen from him. Brazilian officials found no evidence of a robbery. The Unites States Olympic Committee has issued an apology over the affair. CCTV’s Jessica Stone recaps the alleged events. Gabby Douglas talks about coming back to gymnastics, how she's grown since 2012, Simone Biles, and the Fierce Five.
Under Rule 40, the U.S. Olympic Committee bullies athletes and companies out of their right to free speech. The USOC aggressively protects its corporate sponsors' exclusive partnerships, to the point that other businesses can't use Olympics hashtags on social media or even acknowledge that the Olympics are happening at all. Meanwhile, athletes are forbidden from acknowledging the sponsors that made their Olympic dreams possible because the USOC didn't support their training. It's a shame that Team USA's priorities align with corporations more than the athletes who comprise it. The USOC announced today that, for the first time, it will utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to manage athlete care. With a patient population that is in perpetual motion—both on the playing field and off—the USOC's medical information needs are among the most demanding imaginable. On any given day, Olympic athletes are spread all around the world, training, conditioning, competing, and, occasionally, getting injured or falling ill. When that happens, effective treatment and fast recovery can mean the difference between silver and gold. Learn more about how the USOC will seamlessly connect GE Centricity Practice Solution and GE Centricity PACS-IW to meet their EMR and image viewing and storage needs.

Throwing crosses on our skin, we saved ourselfs
Settin' my standard, teach your trends
through the dirt all in your ears
and all the dead dogs of hell they cross our veins, remain afraid
and the emptyness we feel it cuts the pain, torch the plains
Throwing crosses on our skin, I saved Myself
Failing up and dropping in, though the truth all in your breath
And all the tiretracks we lead across the back remain the same.
In the hollow sound to blacken clouds relieve your saggy taste
And I know i never promised a thing
And surrender aint a part of your game
But hunny i aint taking the blame.
You were the wind that set sail in my sin.
Worry for the best, for concequence
And take just what i need.
10 thousand feet, forfill your creep
Ill bring you to your knees
And I know i never promised a thing
And surrender aint a part of your game
But hunny i aint taking the blame.
