Peta Fairhead's dad remembers his 'brave, gutsy, beautiful girl'

The father of young Perth mother Peta Fairhead - who died after being dumped outside a Joondalup hospital this month - has spoken about the pain of burying his "beautiful kid" and a new struggle to support her three children.

"You don't bury your children, they bury us, we don't bury them." Bart Diaz told Nine News Perth.

"And that's the hardest part, a very large piece of my heart has been ripped off.

"My daughter was a very very brave girl, and a gutsy girl, she was a beautiful kid, and I loved her to death."

Ms Fairhead died just hours after being dumped outside Joondalup Health Campus from a car with horrific injuries about 3.15am on August 4.

Her father is dealing not only with her shock death but now how to support her two young sons and daughter, all aged under seven.

"How are we going to raise these children now? None of us were prepared for this, we just weren't," Mr Diaz said.

"We don't have the financial backing."

The father of Ms Fairhead's one-year-old daughter has had to quit his job to care for her but financial support is now thin.

"It takes away all of the family earnings," Mr Diaz said.

"He's going to have to be a stay-at-home mum. He's not going to be able to go out and work."

Mr Diaz recalls talking to a friend about how low an act it was to leave someone for dead outside a hospital.

"When i first heard about this and I didn't realise it was my daughter, I was talking to a friend of mine and said 'that is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard'," Mr Diaz said.

"When I found out it was Peta, I just fell in a heap... the world fell down around us."

Mr Diaz said his daughter absolutely adored her three kids.

"[She was a] very loving mother, very loving. She could be cranky, but I think that come from her mother's side," Mr Diaz said with a chuckle.

Three men - Ross James Boag, Leroy Daniel Smith and Lucas James Yarran - face murder, robbery and kidnap charges in relation to Ms Fairhead's death.

Detectives will allege she was with two of her friends at a home in Ridgewood, when two of the men armed with a machete and a baseball bat threatened them.

A short time later, the 27-year-old mother was run over.

Ms Fairhead's family has established a Go Fund Me page to help with future funds for the three children and are already overwhelmed with the response.

"I'm very humbled to say thank you very very much," Mr Diaz said through tears.

"You have no idea how much this means to us."
