A man has been arrested at gunpoint on a suburban street on the Mornington Peninsula, only hours after a petrol bomb was detonated in front of a nearby house.
Heavily armed Special Operations Group officers swarmed Pamela Place in Mornington about 10am on Friday.

Manhunt leads to arrest
After a two-week manhunt, police arrest a man in Mornington in connection with a crime spree. Video Network Ten News
Footage of the dramatic arrest shows the 26-year-old man crawling on his hand and knees on the front lawn of a house before lying on the ground in front of the officers.
He was handcuffed, before being led to a waiting van.
The arrest follows the discovery of a homemade bomb in nearby Dorothy Crescent.
The bomb exploded near a parked car about 8pm on Thursday.

No one was in the car at the time.Â
The bomb squad is investigating the petrol bomb blast.
However, it is not believed the two incidents are linked.

The man's arrest is part of an on-going investigation into a number of burglaries and thefts, Victoria Police spokesman Tom O'Byrne said.
"The eastern crime region is investigating," he said.
