The first thing you think about Brooklyn hype magnets Sunflower Bean is that they’re really, really good. The second thing is that their record collections must run hella deep. The band’s latest album sounds like ’60s psych and ’90s slack pop run through a blender and “Come On” is a perfect example of that. Check out the just-released music video up top.
The band told Pitchfork that they wanted the clip to represent the immediacy and energy of their much ballyhooed live show.
“‘Come On’ is a song about time, speed, and pressure,” they said of the colorful clip. “It’s a good one to play live, which gave us the idea for the video… Something that could capture the vibe and energy of the song.”
The clip is perfectly timed, as the band added a bunch of North American tour dates to their already extensive world tour. Take a look at where you can catch them live below.
