Victor Harbor Area

Victor Harbour is a sea-side city located 80km south of Adelaide on the Fleurie Peninsula. It is a highly popular among domestic tourists, particularly during the summer which sees the city's population bulge. Victor Harbour is also very popular for Adelaide's surfing population as a gate way hub to the "south coast" surf beaches.

Another hot spot for local and outside visitors is Granite Island. The island is famous for its army of Little Penguins, lovingly known locally as "Fairy Penguins". They inhabit the island and visitors can venture by means of the iconic antique Victor Harbour horse drawn tram, travelling from the mainland to the island and back. It is one of the last horse drawn public tram routes remaining for public transit. Victor harbor is also home to the Cockle Train heritage railway which includes the oldest rail route in Australia, between Port Elliot and Goolwa.
