Orange

Known as Australia's "Colour City" due to its four distinct seasons, Orange is located 3 ½ hours west of Sydney, in the Australian state of New South Wales. The city is an important regional centre, and supports the agriculture, mining, health services and education industries. It's also known as a fruit growing region, with many apples, pears and stone fruits like cherries, peaches, apricots and plums grown there. Ironically, due to its cool climate, oranges aren't grown there, but it's perfect for growing grapes, making it a wonderful wine region.

Orange has a population of 39, 480 people, with 16.2% working in Health Care and Social Assistance, 11.4% in Retail Trade and 8.7% in Education and Training. Leading Australian tertiary institution Charles Sturt University has a campus in Orange, thereby attracting students and academics alike.

Crown Princess of Albania, Princess Susan, once taught art in the city's Presbyterian Ladies College.
