Peak-hour commuters had a slow drive home on the Gateway Motorway and Bruce Highway after multiple crashes.
Two crashes on the Bruce Highway had caused significant delays for motorists during peak hour traffic on Tuesday afternoon.
A truck and four cars collided in the northbound lane at Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast just before 6pm.
The Bruce Highway was also at a standstill at Murrumba Downs after a three vehicle crash on Pine River Bridge.
Two patients were transported to Redcliffe Hospital.
Earlier on Tuesday, emergency services attended a single-vehicle rollover at Eight Mile Plains.
Paramedics treated two patients at the scene with one, a female in her 60s, requiring transport to hospital for neck pain.
Two southbound lanes of the Gateway Motorway were closed as emergency services cleaned up the scene.
The accident caused major delays, with traffic moving slowly all the way back to the Gateway Bridge.
