Jeans

Jeans are trousers, a type of garment, typically made from denim or dungaree cloth. Often the term "jeans" refers to a particular style of pants, called "blue jeans," which were invented by Jacob W. Davis in partnership with Levi Strauss & Co in 1871 and patented by Jacob W. Davis and Levi Strauss on May 20, 1873. Prior to the Levi Strauss patented trousers, the term "blue jeans" had been long in use for various garments (including trousers, overalls, and coats), constructed from blue colored denim. Originally designed for cowboys and miners, jeans became popular in the 1950s among teenagers, especially members of the greaser subculture. Jeans were a common fashion item in the 1960s Hippie subculture and they continued to be popular in the 1970s and 1980s youth subcultures of punk rock and heavy metal. Historic brands include Levi's, Lee, and Wrangler. In the 2010s, jeans remain a popular fashion item, and they come in various fits, including skinny, tapered, slim, straight, boot cut, cigarette bottom, narrow bottom, bell bottom, low waist, anti-fit, and flare. "Distressed" (visibly aged and worn, but still intact and functional) jeans trousers have become increasingly fashionable, making pre-sale "factory distressing" a common feature in commercially sold jeans.

Voyageur (Enigma album)

Voyageur is a 2003 music album created by the German new age band Enigma. It is Enigma's fifth album.

Voyageur was considered to be Enigma's most different album ever created, due to Enigma's drastic changes in sound as compared to the previous four albums. The project's signature shakuhachi flutes, Gregorian chants and tribal chants found on the earlier albums were all but gone on Voyageur. Instead, most of the songs found on the album were more pop-oriented, such as "Voyageur", "Incognito", "Boum-Boum" and "Look of Today"; the latter of which interpolates the chorus of ABC's hit "The Look of Love". Michael Cretu described Voyageur's genre as "sophisticated pop". Only a few samples of previous works are retained; a familiar reversed cymbal rhythm appears in "Look of Today", while "Incognito" contains the chorus of previous hit "Sadeness" buried in the bridge of the song. The "Enigma foghorn" also appears at the opening of the record.

This album has been released with the Copy Control protection system in some regions.

Angel in Blue

"Angel in Blue" is a song written by Seth Justman that was first released by The J. Geils Band on their 1981 album Freeze Frame. Released as a single in 1982, the song reached the Top 40.Cissy Houston and Luther Vandross appear on the song as back up vocalists.

Allmusic critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine describes the song as "terrific neo-doo wop." Viglione praises it further, stating that it is "arguably the smartest lyric in the J. Geils Band catalogue" with a "strong melody," concluding that it is "four minutes and fifty-one seconds (on the album) of Peter Wolf reading Seth Justman's post-"Centerfold" wet dream." Music critic Robert Christgau states describes the song as "slick get-'em-off trash" whose about "a whore with a heart of brass that I'm just a sucker for." Mark Coleman of The Rolling Stone Album Guide finds the song to be "haunting."

"Angel in Blue" was released as a single in 1982, following the Top 10 hits "Centerfold" and "Freeze Frame" from the Freeze Frame album. It peaked at #40 on the Billboard Hot 100, remaining there for two weeks. It also reached #55 in the UK. The song also made the Billboard Singles Radio Action chart in a number of regions, including Buffalo, New York, Annapolis, Maryland, Nashville, Tennessee and Jacksonville, Florida. "Angel in Blue" was also released on a number of J. Geils Band compilation albums, including Centerfold, The Very Best J. Geils Band Album Ever and Best of The J. Geils Band, as well as several multi-artist compilation albums.

"Angel in Blue Jeans" is a song recorded by American rock band Train for their seventh studio album Bulletproof Picasso. The song was written by Pat Monahan, Amund Bjørklund, and Espen Lind, and was produced by the latter two as well as Butch Walker. It was released on June 9, 2014 as the lead single from the album.

Music video

The music video premiered on July 14, 2014 via the band's YouTube channel, and was officially released through their VEVO account on July 15, 2014. Directed by SCRANTON and Mel Soria, the video stars New Girl actress Hannah Simone as the titular angel, Danny Trejo as a heroic derivative of his Robert Rodriguez character Machete, and Train frontman Pat Monahan as a villainous sheriff. The video is influenced by the spaghetti western film genre, and features Trejo lip-synching to the lyrics.
