Tesla has offered further insight into its new master plan for taking over the world's roads.
The electric car company's charismatic chief executive, Elon Musk, has elaborated on the brand's planned expansion in a series of Twitter posts that confirm what Tesla plans to do next.
As expected, the Tesla Model X family SUV will be followed by a Model Y compact SUV based on the upcoming Model 3, a rival to BMWs 3-Series sedan.
From there, Musk plans to turn his attention to people movers such as the Toyota Tarago.
"The Tesla Minibus will be built on a Model X chassis," he says.
"People density potential is surprisingly high."
Having locked in a "sexy" lineup with the Model S, Model 3, Model X and Model Y, Musk says the brand is likely to shake up its naming conventions.
Tesla says the Model Y compact crossover will be its priority following the launch of the Model 3 sedan, as sales of models such as the Audi Q5 and BMW X3 are booming around the world.
The brand's rapid expansion could be delayed by manufacturing issues flagged by Tesla to shareholders on Friday.
Tesla's expected tenfold increase in production relies on the timely operation of its new "Gigafactory" in Nevada, which will produce crucial components including lithium-ion batteries for the Model 3.
The company's share price dropped slightly on Friday when Tesla released a statement saying that it has "no direct experience in the production of lithium-ion cells" and that "problems or delays with the Gigafactory could negatively affect our brand and harm our business, prospects, financial condition and operating results".
