The Hunter Peace Group has renewed its call for the erection of a permanent peace memorial in Newcastle.
Members of the group marched from Newcastle Museum to Civic Park as part of the Hiroshima Peace March on Sunday.
Greens senator Lee Rhiannon, Hunter Peace Group secretary Lynda Forbes and Newcastle councillor Therese Doyle were among those who addressed the rally.
