In linguistics, a numeral is a member of a word class (or sometimes even a part of speech) designating numbers, such as the English word 'two' and the compound 'seventy-seven'.

Numerals are really very important! They are words of “everyday use”.
What should we know about Numerals in order to speak?
Digit refers to any of the numerals from 0 to 9, especially when forming part of a number.
Figure refers to a number, especially one that forms part of official statistics or relates to the financial performance of a company.
Number refers to a quantity or amount and used in counting and making calculations and for showing order in a series or for identification.
Numeral refers to a figure, symbol, or group of these denoting a number.
